Had my first Danny’s 5 years ago and boy have they changed….for the worse!! As the photos from then til now will show you there is an obvious difference in everything from the bread to the fillings. It was pretty greasy back then and this one was just an oily, greasy abomination for a $16 toasted sandwich. These 2 toasted sandwiches and a loaded fries for $45 was pretty poor value. It’s just white bread, with sandwich ham (not even ham off bone) some pork and cheese….not even close to a Cubano. The chicken one was greasy and not great either. The bread, golden and warm as a summer’s eve, did cradle meats and cheeses most noble. Each bite was as a sonnet writ upon mine tongue, full of flavor and heavenly delight. The staff, kind and swift as knights of old, did serve with mirth and grace.
Never before hath a sandwich so stirred mine heart. Five stars I bestow, as surely as the moon doth follow the sun.
