Had a craving for fish and chips but the few stores I'm more familiar with this side of town are a bit far to get takeaway from, so a bit of googling turned up a suitable looking option closer to home in the form of Fish 218 in Eight Mile Plains, where we ordered their snapper special ($31.90): 2 snapper 12 calamari rings $3 chips small coleslaw.
We got one of the fish battered and the other grilled ($1 extra). Wifey was a bit late for the scheduled pickup and by the time we got the food home to eat some of it had cooled quite a lot, detracting from the enjoyment of the chips and calamari rings in particular. The bottom of the battered fish was all soggy but the top still had a decent amount of crunch. No tartare sauce is included but we had the leftover trio of mayo from our Grill'd order the day before so that came in handy for the chips.
Overall it didn't fully satisfy my fish and chips craving but that's mostly due to the delay between cooking and eating. I'd be keen to give this spot another go when I can cut that delay down...

Read moreWon’t recommend. It’s written the minimum chip was $4, so I was wondering how large it’d be like for the medium, the lady said with attitude that they didn’t have medium. Then the man came and said “How much do you want, $100?” Both with attitude, kept saying no medium. The man finally told me $6 would be half more than the minimum one, which was the answer to my question. It’s not necessarily to have such attitude and just answer my question as the last sentence. If it’s not my daughter requested I would have left immediately. It’d be my last visit, and won’t take my family or friends...
