Lilypad espresso bar is a new addition to town and they've just been around for 2 months. There was another cafe in this exact location some time ago. Good coffee. Really friendly staff. You get a bite size brownie for every serving of coffee you order. And coffee comes in the regular sizes but with the option to have an additional shot. The location may not be ideal. But all you need is good food and coffee. *I had a 2nd visit here within few days of my first visit. Since I can't add on a review, I'll just edit this one. There's just something different about Lilypad espresso. Sure, the decor isn't the most modern or chic. In fact, there's a hint of steampunk to it with metal rods, bars, and stuff at every corner of the cafe. Peek next door and you'll know why. What makes this cafe so warm is the hospitality that greets you the moment you walk up to the counter to get your orders taken. Coffee? Amazing. Food? Awesome. We had the pleasure of sampling the croissant and salad. Great stuff I tell you. After we've had our meal, I asked my wife what was the best part of this visit. We both had the same answers. The lemon and orange cordial. I have not seen this served anywhere else and guess what people? It's free. Just grab a bottle from the fridge and pour away. Such a refreshing drink on a blazing hot day! Apparently there's a different food menu on Saturday. Do check it out. I know I'll be coming back for more food.

It’s in the middle of nowhere but I wanted a coffee on my way to dfo. They have eftpos surcharge so bring cash! Coffee is on point!Taste of the coffee was nice and rich with no burnt taste. Will come back for medium coffee with $5 cash. But can’t say the same for the sausage roll… it is so skinny and although it seemed home made the flavour was bland even with tomato ketchup. Has so much potential but it is a shame

I have given full stars for service but one star for food after the dismal $8 breakfast wrap I was served. Pic included of one half of said wrap with size comparison and non existent ingredients. That bacon can be eaten in one bite. Please put a bit more love into your food. We’re all doing it tougher than before. Lasting impressions are a real thing. This was my first and last visit here

I don't usually write reviews - but the experience at Lilypad was so good this morning I was inspired to.

Firstly, they upgrade the dosage of your coffee free of charge - great business model.

Secondly, just the kindest warmest service. The barista was talking about horticulture, while we were offered water, homemade lemon concentrate, a complimentary little brownie with our coffee.

Thirdly, the best greyhound came by while I was there. He had beautiful eyes and a bowtie. If you get coffee here maybe you'll see him.

Finally, I didn't get a croissant but aesthetically they looked practically Parisian and perfect.

Also the...

Took shelter from the rain and did the right thing by getting a coffee here , best cappuccino I ever had (no burnt beans here) and melt in the mouth complimentary brownie morcel ( receipe is a well kept secret Rufus tells me😁,) perfect if like me youre watching your waistline dont want to get a whole guilt ridden piece of cake,. I think what makes lilly pad stand out is the warm welcome of the staff notably Rufus who has s natural way with the customers not forced in any way and the extra shot of coffee was a welcome...
