First time ordered a takeaway from this place today. The good things: lovely customer service generous amount of food love garlic dip is beautifully whipped and has a refreshing garlic taste as I was expecting delivery available The reasons why 1 star overall: food arrived stone cold (even though the delivery took 15 minutes!), I can tell with 100% certainty the meat and rice were pre-cooked hours in advance and we're just heated up prior to delivery (I know the difference in temperature as I ate same meal at other Turkish places where it's been freshly cooked on Mangal) menu says mixed grill includes chicken wings, both meals we received had only drumsticks rice is bland salad chopped up coarsely, I had almost half a capsicum in my serve bread is cold, not even grilled, I'm not even mentioning it's not an authentic Turkish bread or anything of that kind, it's one of the lowest quality you can get from a supermarket potato chips are soft, soggy and mashy, absolutely not what one would expect (have a look how pale they look in the photo).
We could have been your regular customers but this first time experience has ruined it. To send stone cold food isn't going to keep customers, I feel we've been treated like second best given we've...
Read moreAbsolutely disgraced. My partner and I used to come here literally every week, and we loved the food, service and atmosphere. There must be new management, or lack thereof because what we saw tonight was appalling.
There were two young boys who went on their phones several times, and not a single gloves was seen once; not even whilst handling wet ingredients.
I must say, the food was close to what it use to be. Same good flavours, however the chicken I had in my gozleme was really dry and tough- not to the mention the long wait time.
The experience was terrible, as we sat there and ate our food, it was modern rap/ pop (which I do enjoy, I am only a 21 years old) however, it was blaring on the speakers and not as experiential as the Turkish music we would typically here. On top of this, it was just three teenage/ young adult boys going at each other constantly.
We even saw a customer upset with their food, as it was not what they ordered. The short kid with the eyebrow slit, and track in his hair just said âI knowâ when the woman told him it was not what she ordered, and was just extremely rude that entire interaction. It wasnât until after they re-made her food that he asked his colleague âdid you say sorryâ as if he wasnât the one who was rude to...
Read moreâ 1 Star â Misleading, Overpriced, and Downright Insulting
If youâre thinking about ordering a âfamily-sizedâ chicken snack pack from this place, do yourself a favor and donât. For the outrageous price of $40 delivered, I expected something remotely worthy of the word family. Instead, what showed up was a tiny, soggy, sad excuse for a single-person meal that wouldnât even fill up a kid after soccer practice.
To call this portion âfamily sizeâ is not just misleading â itâs insulting. The tray was barely bigger than my hand (see photo), with a stingy layer of overcooked chicken slapped on top of some oily fries and drowned in what I can only assume was their entire yogurt sauce supply in a desperate attempt to mask how dry and burnt the meat was. Spoiler: it didnât work.
Itâs one thing to charge premium prices if youâre offering premium food or generous portions. This was neither. What we got wouldnât even qualify as a proper side dish, let alone a main for one person, much less a family. Iâve had better value from corner kebab shops at half the price.
Save your money. Go literally...
