We had a recent bad experience at your establishment. We are regular customers at Devils who have always appreciated the welcoming atmosphere at your leagues club. However, during our visit on the evening of August 14, to celebrate our anniversary, we encountered a bartender whose demeanor was both rude and unprofessional. When I addressed his attitude, he refused to serve us. Subsequently, the manager intervened, and I took the opportunity to inform him about the staff's poor customer service skills and extreme negative attitude towards us. When I requested the bartender's name, the manager declined to provide it, stating that the name was simply "BARTENDER." Upon my mention of retrieving the name from the name tag, the manager promptly went to the back of the bar and instructed the bartender to remove his name badge so that I could not note down his name. We got the impression that he had issued with colored people although my wife is Australian.

This conduct from both the manager and the staff has left a profoundly negative impression regarding the quality of the staff at your club. It significantly spoiled our anniversary celebration, and instead of enjoying our dinner, we departed feeling dissatisfied. We are now quite hesitant to visit the North Devils Leagues club again so we hope you will address this matter that we encounted last night and come up with a way to solve this kind of rude and arrogant attitude given by the bartender who served us.

We even sent a letter of complaint to management but no acknowledgment. It seems that it’s part of their customer service culture. We will not go back...

Thought I would try this leauges club as we were north side today. Unfortunately I can not give a positive review. All facilities look great the food wasn't to bad either. But and big but. Got there at around 1pm stood at the podium to the bistro where it's says "please wait to be seated " The staff just kept going about what they were doing for about 5mins we a family of 4 stood there waiting. Finally seated and ordered. 4 meals 2 kids meals and 2 steak lunches. 20mins later kids meals come they had steak 150g. My wife and I waited and waited the kids finished there meal and we continued to wait. Asked one girl where our meals were she said she would check she never did.. Another older man came past asked him he said they wouldn't be long we then asked could the kids have there icecream. He said yes chocolate or vanilla we ordered one of each. He came back and one was chocolate and the other caramel and was gone before we could say anything. He just didn't care finally nearly an hour after we ordered and kids had well and truly finished lunch and desert our meal came. By that time if I could of just left I would of. We ate our food as quick as we could and got out of there we go out and eat at clubs and restaurants every Saturday as a family. Eating separate from the kids well this was the first time.

It looks like a nice little club but with staff who just don't care have ruined it for us and I will never go back or pass on positive feedback about that club. That was ours.

Hope other people have a...

Unfortunately mine and my 6 year olds mid week dinner date was ruined by the rudest wait staff.

We arrived at 520 and were seated. It was right next to a family of four and the restaurant had no one else in it. I asked if it would be ok if we move to a table closer to the kids room but no big deal if not, and eventually that was ok but it all seemed a bit "too hard" and she said she needed to change it in the system. Anyway, it got to 532 and no one had approached us with even water or asked if we wanted drinks. I counted 6 wait staff walking around avoiding eye contact with me, so I went up and asked if it was table service, to which the waitress said (I seemed like I had interrupted a very important conversation with her colleague) she would take my order. I said "thank you, we've been waiting a little bit."

She then walked over and said rudely "well technically we don't open until 530 (sorry no one told me when we arrived early?) and it's 532 so you've only been waiting two minutes, not a while. I then said I understand the time and she said very condescendingly, "yeah now look it's 5:33, so it's 3 minutes past", and pointed to her watch. I stood up and walked out and gave the manager a brief overview of what had happened but didn't go into detail as I was embarrassed and with my son. The manager was nice enough and said she would talk to her but doubt anything will happen.

Such a shame that my local has been ruined with a bad experience and I will...

Held our high school 30 year reunion in a section of the beer garden here Saturday night. There was a bit of confusion over the venue area and with the timing of the food but we worked everything out. The food was delicious. Everyone had a fabulous night catching up. We used one of the large screens for our slide show and a powerpoint presentation for our quiz. Unfortunately, we had to postpone some of our speeches and quiz until the function right next to us finished their presentations as the audio was too loud next to us for us to use our microphone. The communication with the event manager could've been a bit better but all in all the night was a massive success!

This is my second visit to Devils. The renovations have produced a very modern and elegant experience. Our mains and also entrees were all flavoursome, fresh and free of excessive salt or sugar, the kitchen staff should be commended. The staff were very attentive and seemed very happy in their jobs. Our visit was of a Saturday evening and had a great live musician playing. If I could make two recommendations they would be: -dim the lights in the dining area a bit -put the musician closer to the dining area

Great leagues club, we always have a nice time here. Good points: - Excellent quality meals, good gluten free options, good value - Clean club - Very good, friendly service - Courtesy bus - Kid friendly: play ground & contained play area Points for improvement: - more locally sourced drinks would be nice. Bird Dog Sparkling Brut from Mt Tamborine would be an excellent addition - A separate area for punters, so they can hear the races. Currently the only space is in the bar area
