I was staying in the area for a week and decided to dine here for breakfast - best decision ever! If you want my basic pro and con list, here it is: PROS: Great flow of customers, so if its busy it won't take long for a table to open up for you. Friendly service, very lovely workers and always willing to grab whatever you need. Huge menu, so you'll always have something to satisfy you. Decent prices, considering its location, portion sizes and quality, the prices are great! Delicious food, obviously an important part to mention, everything I had was great! I recommend the Governor waffles if you're a sweet tooth like me.
CONS: I wouldn't recommend dining on a Monday/Tuesday. Different staff are working than the staff on weekends, and the quality does change. The weekend staff will raise your expectations with great presentation and portion sizes, fast service and consistent pricing, however you'll find the week days to be a bit more lacking - taste is consistent though! Just not the portion sizes, something which definitely threw me off after going there over the weekend.
As you can see, I don't have much if any problems, just dine there on the weekend and you'll have a...
Read moreI cannot rate this café more than 1 star. I held off writing the review for this place as I wanted to give it a couple chances. They make good food here and you can get something for a reasonable price, but the service lets this place down. Every single time I have been they have stuffed up the order. They will constantly bring the wrong drink or dish and when we go and pay they have tried to charge us for something extra on multiple occasions.
They have so many stuff working at any given time compared to most café’s so I would have expected the service to be good but it usually takes two to three staff just to take a simple order. They are constantly having to refer to the more experienced staff members to get anything done.
The only reason why I have gone three times now is because ‘Jam’ closed. That’s the only reason why this café has any customers at all. They opened at the right time. Hopefully something better opens soon, but I’m sure with the rapid growth of Nundah that this place won’t be able to capitalise on the lack of competition for much longer unless they improve their service. I would recommend hiring some more staff that actually have some...
Read moreOne of the worst breakfasts I have ever eaten, they have crammed so many tables inside that I had to get up out of my seat to let someone out of theirs, staff were moving chairs over head to accommodate people in a dangerously stupid fashion. It took 40 minutes to receive my breakfast from when I ordered and by that time my milkshake was warm. I ordered the Endeavour, my hollandaise sauce tasted like lemon juice and cream, my rosti was not cooked and the knife they gave me couldn't cut toast. My partner had eggs Benedict and couldn't eat the undercooked rosti or the eggs because of the terrible hollandaise sauce. I will obviously not be going back again, ever, and I would recommend everyone else avoids it if they don't enjoy the view of a wash up sink and stock fridges from their table. I don't mind paying more for good food, but I could get cheaper, better food and service almost anywhere else in the area. The only good thing about this place was the grass...
