This is the best Phở Dặc Biệt I've eaten in Brisbane.

The aging decor outside gave me a strong impression of what the food would be like - in this case exceptional. I arrived after the lunch rush, there were a handful of people dining. A kind uncle gestured to me to take a seat.

When the restaurant name contains the word "Phở" it's usually a good indication on what to order. After a minimal wait time (a few minutes) I had a steaming hot bowl of Phở in front of me.

I'm normally a fan of northern style, this was certainly a southern style but restrained to a beautiful simplicity. Not overly sweet that I appreciated. Great balance of flavours and aromas. In terms of the meat - all great, especially the tendon - I'd eat a plate of those on its own!

The usual condiment bar was available on each table - I loved the choice of fish sauce. I may just have found my new Vietnamese diner when I visit Brisbane - it's...

Pho Ba Nga is a hidden gem in Inala, Brisbane, offering authentic Vietnamese cuisine with a focus on traditional noodle soups. Located at 35 Lavender Street, this family-run eatery has garnered a loyal following for its rich flavors and consistent quality.

🍜 Menu Highlights

Pho Tai (Rare Beef Pho) – A classic choice, featuring tender slices of rare beef in a fragrant broth.

Pho Combination – A hearty bowl combining various beef cuts, perfect for those seeking variety.

Bun Bo Hue – A spicy, lemongrass-infused noodle soup that offers a bold flavor profile.

Com Tam (Broken Rice) – Served with grilled pork, this dish is a favorite among regulars.

Vietnamese Coffee – A strong, sweet brew that complements the meal perfectly.

The menu offers a range of options, with most dishes priced around $22 AUD. Portion sizes are generous, ensuring...

I have only had their Pho because it's too good for me to try the other soups. I am not that adventurous so I've only had the rare beef but my wife says the combination pho was very good. The pho broth is the best I have ever had, richer than most others. The noodles are fresh and chewy. Lots of fresh herbs provided. The meat isn't a "premium cut" like some other places, but it is fresh, tender and tasty so I don't see any problem there. You get a huge bowl of it! Delicious! Hoi sin, sriracha, chilli available on the table if you like. We shared some spring rolls which were also very delicious. Complimentary hot tea is provided, and it is tasty. The restaurant has a small menu, all reasonably priced, and from what I can tell it is all top quality. Staff were friendly and service was very prompt...

The beat Pho I have eaten in my life. Unassuming place in the middle of nowhere, but the pho is so flavourful. Clear soup but the taste is complex yet not overwhelming. The tendon and other meat is so tender. The beef meatball is awesome. The noodle is soft and slippery, perfect. Authentic herbs and veggies too. It is served in a big ceramic bowl. Very generous portion. The price is really and uniform regardless whether it's combination or rare beef only. I really can't fault this pho. Even the aftertaste left in your mouth is so good, not fatty or salty or sweet. Just the right amount of everything. The owner is so kind, I feel welcome and feel at home. The service is also super quick. It is worth coming all the way here.

3.75 ⭐️ Update; The menu is not huge which means they can focus on their speciality dishes. Tried the; 🥣 Bún bò Huế - had a decent flavor though leaning on the sweet side 🥣 Bún thịt nướng - came with tasty but slightly dry meat, only one spring roll, and a fish sauce that was again more sweet than balanced. 🥣Canh bun - highly recommended, soup is super flavourful and you get decent amount of ingredients 🥣 Pork Broken rice - can't go wrong with this, although rice was a bit dry 🥣 Bun bo - not too spicy, similar soup to the canh bun but different ingredients 🥣 Pho Dac biet - very aromatic and soup was well seasoned 🥣 vietnamese iced coffee - too sweet and thick for my liking
