April 2025 The restaurant is on Sandgate road, however it wasn’t too noisy, and also had a small car park in front and apparently more parking underneath! We ordered the following items: • Lamb Madras • Butter Chicken • Cumin Rice • Garlic & Coriander Naan Everything was phenomenal! Really great flavours. The lamb was nice and tender and the cumin rice was really tasty and well seasoned. ⭐️⭐️Highly recommend the naan. They were light, flavoursome and not greasy at all ⭐️⭐️ If you’re a water snob, you’ll be happy to know that their water comes off a tap (like beer tap, not the sink tap) and must be filtered as it, like the food, tastes delicious Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!

What a great find.💯💯💯 Beautiful , spacious, cleam Indian themed restaurant. Quick, attentive efficient service takeaway order was taken the moment I walked into the restaurant. The service throughout the evening was excellent. ordered beef vindaloo, lamb biryani, and whole chicken tandoori. Flavours and beautiful aromatic were evident while waiting for my orders. There is parking, outdoor options, and toilets available at the restaurant. Food is fresh and authentic. Add to that the modest and good portion of the meals. Will definitely come back and perhaps dine in at this restaurant again. Highly recommended ✨️

On an overall the food was good. We ordered Tandoori Chicken, Some breads, and some Aloo Bondas. The taste of the dishes were up to the mark, except the Aloo Bonda - which was fried for a bit extra time (overcooked). The service is something which is worth mentioning. From the start until the end Mr.Modit ensured that we’re taken good care of. On an overall basis, we had a pleasant time. I will give visit once again. The pricing was generally in line with other Indian restaurants around Brisbane.

The food at this place was amazing I ordered a Shai paneer, the gravy was cooked to supreme delicacy and the panners perfectly cooked. I also ordered a day makan which was the best I've had from a restaurant, the dall was cooked perfectly to that ready to eat as soon as it touched the table. The feeling if this place was amazing they had a wide menu of non veg and veg with desserts and drinks including with delicious curries The naan was amazing the garlic, kulcha and plain naan blew my mind with what it was stuffed with. They also had a chocolate naan which sounded great. The atmosphere of the place had amazing and warm vibes. They had a heater constantly heating us with not a single mozzie in the food or on us. The service was spectacular the waiter was saying thank you to us when serving us the food which was very polite and generous of them to do. The people were very nice creating nice vibes in the restaurant. The restaurant also had indian music which created indian vibes around the area. Overall the place was was spectacluar would go there again,...

Punjabi Dawat has quickly become my absolute favorite restaurant! From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality and the comforting aroma of rich spices that instantly transport you to Punjab.

The food is simply outstanding – every dish I’ve tried bursts with authentic flavor and is clearly made with care. Their butter chicken is perfectly creamy, the dal makhani is slow-cooked to perfection, and the tandoori items are always juicy and full of smoky goodness. Pair it with their fresh naan or fluffy rice, and you’ve got a meal to remember.

What really sets Punjabi Dawat apart, though, is the service. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always happy to make recommendations based on your taste.

Whether you’re a fan of North Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Punjabi Dawat is a must-visit. Delicious food, generous portions, great value – and most importantly, it feels like home.

Highly...

Nan was like layered roti burnt outside raw inside, was not cooked in tandoor and I ordered butter chicken which was flavour less boiled chicken not tandoori rostered. Very disappointing experience. Never going to return again. I called restaurant to complain and check if they have given me wrong food which I thought could be the case but person on the phone said they don't use tandoor to make nan bread so that explains everything and than he offered me 5 complimentary nan bread if I go back and pick them up from them again but I don't understand how dumb he was to say that I said to him clearly that nan they provide were not cooked in tandoor and he said yes they use some kind of machine to make them and he still offered me complimentary nan bread. 🤔 seriously shocking...... they have lost another customer. Time to prepare they said will be 15 minutes it took them 34 minutes. If I could I would have not given them...
