On Friday 19 th March my husband and I went to The Ox for lunch well what a disappointing lunch, first off after waiting an hour the waitress called the Manager, this so called Manager was hiding behind the coffee machine and when she appeared at our table with eyes plastered in orange brown eye shadow and what looked like a love bite on her neck dressed in shabbily top and skin tight pants, why do plump women wear skin tight pants, I saw every roll of fat and every nook and crannie and this so called Manager did not know how to process a pension card on the register and also did not know how to add anchovies to a pizza, this is a so callled Manager, this so called Manager should on the floor checking to see what customers have come in and why are they not eating, she blames the cash register, I do not accept that, instead of hiding behind the coffee machine she should have been making sure the restaurant and the kitchen ran together smoothly, I do accept any of her excuses, whoever is in charge of staff give this so called Manager the flick and put somebody who knows the Restaurant business, I can see why Hotels are jam packed serving beautiful food and The Ox is pretty much empty, but having ranted about our experience my pizza was exceptional cooked to perfection and my husbands steak just melted...

The staff are super lovely and the kitchen is incredible. Shelly, Pat and Linh regularly serve me. Theyāre all incredible and such fun people, itās genuinely delightful to see them here.
I donāt know the name of any of the chefs, but they are definitely all exceptional and clearly care a lot about making incredible food.
Iāve lost count of glorious feasts Iāve had in The Ox and there hasnāt been an exception.
Thereās a poker night twice weekly which seems like a good time. I donāt play but itās a good vibe.
