Bann Suan Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Brisbane City

My wife and I went to this Thai restaurant in Oxley on my 50th Birthday about 2 weeks ago. We enjoyed the food on the lunch specials. We suggested to our family friends to have a Sunday birthday lunch at Bann Suan and so we came here again at a group of 16 people. We ordered green curry chicken, Pad Pring Chicken, soft shell crab, prawn, two types of fish dishes, Tom Yum seafood, Tom Kha chicken, number of lunch specials for each of the kids, and for dessert, mango with sticky rice and deep fried ice cream. Check out the beautifully made mango with sticky rice dessert...the food presentation was also great.

Tell you what, the food was awesome! Every dish and the dessert really justified Bann Suan's high Google review ratings.

On top of that, this is a family run restaurant and their service was really friendly and fast. They are also very clean and the ambience is really good and relaxing.

This place is our family’s weekly go to lunch eats and every time we leave, we are always happy and reminds us of home back in Thailand. This is a family owned business, the lady is always so nice and provides the best service, as well as the chef who is definitely always serving us flavoursome and appetising dishes. Hi I really love this restaurant but I need tell something. I was take a way Pot basil with beef last night. The restaurant wasn’t busy. The meal came out in 10min very quick. When I back home I was really disappointment. The meal too watery even it was stir fried. The beef white means was not cook or marinated well. I asked extra spicy than medium spicy but can’t feel any spicy even less than medium…. Because I think the chef didn’t control temperature when they stir them. Or too much add water. I feel something really bed it happened couple of time here.
