Just happened to come across this fish and chip shop on a Saturday night as hubby and I were visiting the area. So glad we did! These guys were awesome! So polite, and warm, and welcoming. Hubby and I ordered 2x plain hamburger combo's. The hamburgers were just like I remembered as a kid in the 80's and a very big serving of chips. A very tasty burger and the chips were golden and crunchy too. Very reasonable price @ $12.50 ea. A very filling meal. I will def be trying the other items on their menu, particularly the fish.
It was a Saturday night, and the shop was lovely and clean and busy, with a couple of places to sit out the front as well as inside the store. They also had chicken salt, tomato sauce and vinegar on the shop counter to add freely to your meal as well. This was something we took advantage of as I loooove chicken salt on my chips!! Hubby had tomato sauce on his lol We also bought a small tub of garlic aioli ($1.50) which was some of the best I've had at a take-away. Very yum😊 Looking forward to trying some fish next time and would also love to try their works burger too.
Parking was super easy in the complex, and quite easy to get a park on a Saturday night, with lots of people coming and going.
Nice work guys, keep up the...
Read moreVery bland fish and chips. Chicken salt was missing in action. Probably the most dissatisfying fish n chip shop I've been to. A little bit more of chicken salt won't hurt your hip pocket. It's not like you're going to lose $100 a day if you add more chicken salt. Only came here because a workmate ordered here. Originally I just wanted fish and chips, but the lady at the counter upcharged me to a meal that includes a drink. Lady, for all you don't know I could be diabetic, I don't drink sodas. Anyway not recommended at all.
You told me about the drink after you charged me. I've never been to your store so I don't know unless you told me prior. The only chicken salt i seen was stuck to the side of the paper serving tray and I scooped whatever...

The Works Burger just like Australian's love it Combo with thick cut perfectly cooked chips and can of real coke $12.50 and the value doesn't end there. Very reasonably priced and a perfectly cooked fish and chips.
You decide. My opinion Flatheads Fish N' Chips all day every day.
You'll see reviews saying this and that. Nothing can be perfect every time what is? Are you expecting a gourmet meal for less then $10 a head? It's you're local deep frying gods not a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. "Soggy chips" "Limp fish" people acting like they are food connoisseur, you're buying food that goes in a deep fryer and...
