My husband has been a member for +- 10 years. We booked a table (75) on 29/11/2024, firstly we told its table service after being there 15 minutes my husband went and purchased drinks . We were on the Decking and a couple arrived 5 minutes after us was served straight away. The young lady realised what she did as my husband spoken out to myself stating haven’t they taken our order yet. I requested the garlic prawns and rice and requested if the sauce can be put in a bowl on the side of the rice as I don’t like my food swimming in thick sauce, she was quite outspoken and said “oh no they don’t do that here” I said to her in the space of 5 weeks this is the 3rd time I have ordered this food at it hasn’t been a problem. She was a little stand offish, she returned back at the table and said “ I have written small message about the sauce but I can’t guarantee you will get it”. I was quite flustered by now as we were there 25 minutes and we haven’t received our starter , I noticed the other table saying something, so I asked her, that we haven’t received our starter . She had a grin on her face and slight chuckle that her orders that she put through didn’t register and that the tables she had served are still waiting for there’s. She walked away , then I realised that my request will not be acknowledged. So another waitress came to our table and politely asked her to please check that they have seen my small request. My husband saw her speak to our waitress and 5 minutes came back and said I’ve spoken to chef and it’s not a problem. About another 10 mins our starter came to the table then 5 minutes the mains came. I was furious there was sauce all over the rice and prawns. The 2nd waitress walked past and looked and carried on walking past the table . Then my husband said did I order the rump steak , I said yes and he said it was tough and it looked like it had been thrown together , he just ate the chips.

Unfortunately, we won’t be back for sometime, what we have expressed to family and friends in the past that the food here was great . Venue is lovely and some of your waitresses are lovely, the person who served table 75 , needs more customer service and instead of gossiping to the other staff , she’s needs to realise that she is being paid to work . Anyone who knows us, know that we are easy going people and it takes alot to complain especially my husband as he rather leave his food and walk away than cause a scene! Like we...

My first time to the lions yesterday and was very disappointed with the service I received. Got in at 5pm, was told can't order a takeaway pizza until 5:30pm which is fine so we waited. Eventually got to order a takeaway pizza and waited for it to cook. When the buzzer beeped to tell me my food was ready. First, I could not see a sign indicating where to pickup takeaway food so I went over to where the pizza was being cooked because it 'seemed' like a pickup area but was standing next to people in line waiting to order food...found another older gentleman waiting to pickup his order also and was not approached by any staff member. Said he had been waiting 5-10 minutes. So I asked the pizza chef and he asked staff behind counter but no one responded. Second, I went over to where I ordered my food and asked a female staff member "my food is ready, where do I pickup my food?", she responds"you'll have to go over there" pointing to the long line of people waiting to order food, I said "I have to wait in line to pick up my takeaway food that's ready to go?" And she says "hang on let me get it for you". As she comes back, she hands me a plate with my pizza on it so I said "I ordered a takeaway pizza, why is it on a plate?" And she hands me the pizza and says "hold this, I'll get a box", as she comes back she hands me the box without saying anything and I have to ask her "I'm confused, do I keep the plate?" And she says "no" and laughs awkwardly at me...so I walk away and put my own pizza in the takeaway box, leave the plate and walk out. TERRIBLE SERVICE! Absolutely shocking. Pizza was yum, little cold. Will not return after this. Very...

As we made our way to the cafe, we were left to our own devices. No welcome, no menu, no clue. Confusion was in the air as we tried to figure out where to line up and order our food. And to top it off, their QR code was out of commission. *sigh* But we persevered, and eventually, we made it to the counter. And that's when we found out that there were separate menus at the cafe that we could have ordered from. Talk about a slightly confusing process. But let's talk about the food, shall we? We ordered a variety of dishes, from garlic prawns to chicken schnitzel to duck spring rolls and even a wagyu burger (allegedly). And let's just say, we were a bit disappointed. The food was decent, but nothing to write home about. It was on par with your average sports bar or club in Brisbane. And don't even get us started on the kids play area. With only arcade games, it's definitely not suitable for younger children. Overall, The Lion Richlands was an okay experience. The atmosphere and decor were definitely a plus, but the service and food fell a bit short. Would we hurry back? Probably not. But hey, if you're feeling adventurous and want to try something new, give it a shot! Just make sure to clarify the ordering process beforehand. Happy dining! 🍴✨ #TheLionRichlands #FoodieAdventures #BrisbaneEats

Our group of 16 booked to have lunch there in January. Since it's less than 2-weeks from Chinese New Year, the whole premise is fully decorated with CNY team. We thought it's lovely! Food was nice in terms of quality and price. The waiters and waitress are friendly (when you find them because they like to stand around the counter, away from the Diners). Anyhow, Everyone had a good time catching-up with each other. If there is one area of improvement I might mention, it'd be the ordering/payment system. They have this "one-table-one-bill" system where prohibits everyone from ordering their own meals. Instead, they had all the orders in one Bill. However, bizarrely, they allow payment individually whereby the Waitress would come with their Device for everyone go pay separately. This means everyone would need to find their meal from the List printed on the Bill. This seems like double-handling to me and it's easily avoided.... We had been to many Clubs around Brisbane and most accepts separate payments. Most of the times we just order at Reception. Hopefully Lions Richland can fix this next time. Thank you1

Decor is modern. Cocktail and Sports bar has a dark ambience. Food from the a la catre menu is pricey for pub food! Rib fillet $44. However if you are a member lunch is $13.90 for pub basics eg fish and chips, rump steak, etc. Good value and prompt service from the kitchen. Drink serve takes a while. Meals are hot and well presented. Very popular since the renovations a few years ago so it pays to book a table in advance. Staff are generally very good. A wood fired oven allows for great pizzas. There is certainly plenty of variety all round to keep folk happy. There is also a Cafe Eatery serving Asian noodle, stirfry and curries -delicious. This area has seating too and offers a good range of desserts. The coffee is of a very good standard. Pity the much loved dance floor and regular two piece bands that were featured on Friday and Saturday have gone in favour of a sports bar with an unusual layout. Trivia is held weekly. Of course the usual gaming facilities and special events take place too. The reception staff are very welcoming and always eager to assist with membership or enquiries.
