We don’t normally post reviews but I just hope this might change practices within this business possibly as we don’t want to hurt the business but just give some constrictive feedback to make it a better experience. So we purely chose to order here because of the 4.8 star review but found the rice came out sharped like the container because it was old and hard and the naan bread both garlic and cheese was probably the worst we have ever had. It was like 4 day old bread with garlic painted on it and there was not one piece of cheese in the cheese naan so they may have got that wrong but either way it really impacted the dish. We ordered two curries and they were both not too bad but we had terrible accompaniments with them so it ruined the whole dish. We order Indian at least once a week to try new places and understand times are tough but there needs to be more than 4 pieces of meat in a dish and we would have loved to soak up the sauce as there was so much of it with no meat but the rice are like hard grit and the naan was something you wouldn’t feed to birds. I hope that they just change these essential things because this place could...
Read moreWhat a great find. We went on a suggestion from a friend, and found this little gem in Wishart, run by the extremely talented and enterprising Ravi. He not only ran the front of house, but did all the cooking himself, and was ably assisted by his waiting staff. He suggested dishes that weren't on the menu, and I chose my favourite Chicken Jalfrezi, which turned out to be one of the best I'd had in years. Just the right mix of Chicken and charred capsicum and onion. Our friends had a fantastic Lamb Rogan Josh, and my wife had an Eggplant curry with fresh curry leaves, that I tasted and thought was superb. His breads were also excellent, and rice was complimentary. All in all, a great meal, in a relaxed environment, and with great service, and great value. There is not a lot of seating so best to book if you want to dine in. The restaurant is BYO. He is only open Wednesday to Sunday for Dinner, so best to call ahead. We will definitely be returning again...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Wishart Curry House, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I ordered the Butter Chicken, which came with rice and garlic naan, all for the fantastic value price of $20.
The food was excellent. The Butter Chicken was perfectly cooked, with a rich and flavorful sauce that was simply irresistible. The rice was fluffy and complemented the dish beautifully, while the garlic naan was fresh, warm, and wonderfully seasoned. Each bite was a delight, showcasing the chef's expertise and attention to detail.
However, the highlight of my visit was the service. The young lady serving was amazing—accommodating, warm, and greeted me with a genuine smile. Her friendly demeanor and attentiveness made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, Wishart Curry House offers not only exceptional food but also top-notch service, making it a place I will definitely...
