This place infuriates me. You either get really good food or really terrible food (like cold dry duck that is full of neck pieces), there is no in between. Paying $30 for cold BBQ crispy skin pork that you can tell is several days old and not at all crispy is infuriating. The fact they think it’s ok to give people food that’s old and cold, says something about the kind of business they are running. We were going almost weekly too, so being a regular makes no difference. Some days if you are lucky it’s hot and fresh and tastes good, but the other days (any day that isn’t a Friday/Saturday) you get cold leftovers, that look and taste like they’ve been sitting in the fridge for several days. And we aren’t talking lukewarm when you get it, we are talking the sitting on the bench all day type of ‘cold’ (not even fridge cold). They don’t even bother to heat up the leftovers they serve you. Not to mention they always try to get you to pay cash, even for large orders despite having eftpos facilities. They have a ridiculous ‘no eftpos under $30 sign’ and even if your order is $30 or over, the second they see your card they try to make you pay cash. I’ve never been to a restaurant this dodgy before.

What a shocker, ordered through Menu log, 1st mistake, ordered from this place, 2nd mistake. Special Fried Rice, nothing special here, nothing extra like meats or prawns like most other places, very bland, no flavour at all. Honey chicken, hmmm pieces so small that they were hard and unpleasant, salt & pepper squid. Oh dear, no flavour other than spices chucked on top for presentation. The squid tasted like water so obviously frozen, Gordon Ramsey would be horrified. Rang them up as I was missing an item, couldn't hear so much commotion going on, spoke to 4 people all insisted it went in the bag clearly didn't because 3 dishes could only fit in 1 bag. Asked driver, that's another story, he said that's all they gave him, 3rd person on phone said who am I going to believe a business or a driver.....well??? 1st time, last time....get a woolies flavour sachet, it'll taste better.

Under new management a few months back, generous serves and decent flavour. This place gives good value hawker style fare. The uncle here runs lunchtime specials till 1430 which are incredible value for money. Have sampled the sieu yook (crispy roast pork) several times and it's always crispy. Char Sieu (bbq pork) is nicely balanced with just enough fat in the cut and not overpoweringly sweet. Be warned, the Uncle is an old skool salty HK chef, and is learning English (read: he's not front of house). So be patient, point to menu items you want. If you're trying to learn Cantonese he will correct you with good humor! If you're lost order the 2 rice combo with the above and you can't go wrong.

About the most miserable take-away experience that I've ever encountered. Their website offered discount of 10% for orders over $50. When I requested this I was flatly refused, even though my order value exceeded $50. The girl serving at counter informed me that the cook refused. I reminded her that false advertising is an offence under the Trade Practices Act in Australia. She informed the cook (who seemed unable to speak even the most basic English), about this fact. And, at this moment the cook began spouting numerous angry utterances in Chinese and displaying aggressive body language to me. He still flatly refused to honour what his website offered. Note: I notice today (the following day), their website removed all references about...
