We wanted to go to a nice Indian restaurant for our special evening dinner and since it was our first trip to Albany, I made advance reservation at this restaurant given the great reviews on google for this one. I don't think you should expect an authentic Indian food when you go here and keep an open mind. We ordered Prawn pakora, it was good with average mint chutney, Garlic naans - they were good, Chicken Jalfrezi - it was absolutely disappointing. You can expect disappointment when you see cherry tomatoes and micro greens as garmish on an Indian gravy main course 😂🥲 And there were mushrooms and cherry tomatoes in the gravy, it was thin and runny and a bit bland. Also it wasn't cheap it was priced as any other moderately expensive restaurants. As soon as we entered, despite making a booking beforehand, they had no clue about the booking and we sat wherever we liked. Service wasn't an issue, all fine. At the end when I asked for a bill copy, she had to manually write on a bill book and handed it to me without the total amount mentioned.
Well, please don't visit if you want to eat good or authentic...

Read moreToday was our anniversary & hubby decided we'd try the Royal Turban Indian restaurant in Albany WA. We were greeted warmly by staff at reception & shown to our table. Quite a few people were already seated at tables. The menu was easy to follow & we decided to share the banquet for 2. We received our appetisers first, then our entree which consisted of onion bahjis, & Samosa's with sauces. Mains were butter chicken, & vegetable curry, rice & naan bread. Everything was presented nicely, tasted delicious & a bit too much for us to eat. I couldn't resist the pistachio icecream which I shared a smidgen of with hubby. (Can always fit in dessert). The dessert was given to me free of charge which I felt was a lovely gesture. We were given containers to take leftovers home. Thankyou so much for a great meal
We will definitely be back & will tell our friends to try...
