Albany Skate and BMX Park — Attraction in Centennial Park

"You be my friend!? We race!", is the regular call to arms of my little person. And then they are off on their little bikes of ZOooOooooooom! Around the track and over the bumps while making sure mum/dad is critically observing every daring do that they done. Bring snacks.

We could be here for hours, or minutes, depending on how many other little people show up. After school time is pretty much thick with kids, but also the weekends and when it's raining.

There's a covered area at both ends, public toilets over in the corner, and a generally encouraging vibe from the other users. If you time it right, even the skate mums and dads might be mingling with the noobs, demonstrating that they are, in fact, not dead yet.

Epic Park! It's a big park with a lot of usable sized obstacles in the street section. Everything from beginner sizes up to advanced. 2 mains sections of the park are the street sections and the vert section. Multiple sized bowls for all levels of skaters. Still has some finishing touches to come as the area outside the park is getting work done, can't wait until...

Best bike playground for kids with some larger dirt jumps behind. I've seen bigger bmx parks in Qld and this needs to have a kids bmx club start up here with yearly comps.

Bobs bike shop just up the road if you need some parts. Good lighting just let down by lack of drink fountains and one sheltered gazebo...
