Antidote Kitchen — Restaurant in Clare

We have grabbed a takeaway coffee here a few times on our way through Clare and the coffee is always spot on. Today we decided to have lunch here and we could not fault it. The chef made me a dairy free meat dish that was not on the menu (what great service) and my husband said his fish & chips were delicious. A lovely touch was giving my husband the naan bread that came with my meal but had dairy in it. I had papadams & most restaurants would have left it at that. Very thoughtful. Same thing with the little biscuits that come with the coffees. They gave my husband the one that I couldn't eat as well as his. Coffees were really good again too. My partner and I were in Clare for the night to celebrate our recent engagement with a night of luxury. After both googling for literal hours trying to find somewhere especially nice for dinner and finding nothing open but the local pubs. We disregarded antitode many times in our seach as the online menu made us think it was just a standard indian takeaway restaurant. Luckily we eventually looked at their instagram and booked a table. It couldn't have been more perfect! The atmosphere and friendly staff were next level. We enjoyed a delicious brunch today, great choice and opted for Chilli scrambled eggs on rye with prosciutto 😋 whilst my partner really enjoyed traditional scrambled eggs with grilled pineapple on sour dough 😋 Sunny ‘twisted’ our arms to savour their new Antidote Wine, a very tasty Shiraz/grenache made for them by the very talented Marnie Roberts.
