Cobar Hot Bake — Restaurant in Cobar

I never write reviews, but I'm so wild about this, here I am.

We ordered two schnitzel burgers today and bought some drinks. We ended up with one schnitzel and one chicken burger. Both were stone cold. And the salad consisted of wilted lettuce and overripe tomato with something I think was mayonnaise. Went back inside and approached the counter, asking for them to be heated. The guy on the counter initially got very defensive, said that this wasn't what I ordered (that I hadn't wanted it hot?). I had to remind him that I did not order from him, but the woman next to him, who looked sheepish. He then walked away, leaving the woman to rectify the issue. She did not apologise. Just threw them in the microwave. I just wanted to get back on the road, so I didn't demand a refund, although I should have. Because the burgers tasted very ordinary, we ended up throwing them in the bin. So the food was BAD. But the service was worse. And they wonder why people don't stop to spend in small towns. Passed through here twice in October while travelling. Got Breakfast there on both occasions around 7.15am and food was great! only issue was the customer service at the counter, I understand that they open at 4.30am and staff may be a little tired but no friendly greeting, very glum felt like we were an imposition. We have owned a similiar business and this staff member would not be front of house for me! All other staff members we had contact with were very pleasant. On my visit i was embarrassed by the women in the shop. I did not see the 3 people only sign which isnt on the opening door. So instead of communication she loudly said Im frigin over it cant people read. I looked around and then she said some people cant read 3 people only. Maybe a “sorry 3 people only in here” i would of walked back out. No hand sanitizer, no sign on sheets no sign saying once served can u please wait outside just a rude lady saying cant people read.
