We walked into the shop after a long hot drive from Broken Hill. The young man behind the counter started yelling and Waving his arms shooing my husband out like he was a rabid dog. There was no sign outside restricting numbers and you couldn’t see in there anyway due to the sun on the window. We are quite okay with restrictions in place but all he had to say was “hang on mate we are at capacity could you please wait outside until someone leaves” he didn’t have to carry on like a pork chop and embarrass my husband the way he did. Stopped in town after a 8hr drive got a meatball footlong and tbh it was more like meatball sauce with bread . there was sauce everywhere that I had to use 10 napkins. When I saw it had so much I asked the girl after she put my lettuce in if she could get rid of some of it and she grabbed a napkin and wiped some of the sauce off . WHO DOES THAT? Read moreThe 1st week of January and not a lot opened for breakfast. I was travelling to Broken Hill and needed something filling. I noticed they had tables outside full of locals so I went in. Got myself a foot long ham egg cheese roll and it hit the spot. This was also the first Subway I have ever seen with an espresso machine. The coffee I had was nicely made. The only thing I should have done was get another roll for the road as the Wilcannia Golf Club restaurant was still closed and not much other half decent options until you get to Broken Hill...
