When we arrived we stood at the restaurant entrance waiting to be seated. Many staff looked at us but continued to mill about doing other things. After 5 minutes I enquired at the ordering counter if we should just seat ourselves. A very grumpy staff member came over and led us out to a large, noisy, overfilled back room, even though there was plenty of tables in the quieter area. We were told it was steak night. Assuming that this was just the special of the night, I asked for the bistro menu only to be told that steak, chicken schnitzel or fish was all that was on offer. After settling for steak, our meals arrived. Overcooked (I ordered medium rare and mine was grey), gristly and totally overpriced. After eating we continued to enjoy the bottle of wine we had purchased, only to be told at 8.50 that the dining area was closing and we would have to move. We asked where we could move to considering we had children with us and were answered with, "I don't know, try the foyer area". We did move to the foyer area, an open space where the public enter and exit, watching drunk, swearing patrons being refused entry, drank the last of our wine and left. As visitors to the area, we were extremely disappointed with our treatment and our meals and will never return...
Read moreWe went here on a Sunday night. It was extremely quiet, which is to be expected since we had dinner at 5:30. I had the gnocchi. It was quite delicious, with the filling of the gnocchi chewy, but tasty. That combined with the cheese made it a delightful meal. However, the sauce is very very rich, and creamy. I wasn't able to eat too much in one sitting due to the overpowering suace, and the gnocchi being so filling. My grandparents has the classic parmigiana, which they loved. It was relatively cheap in today's economy with a generous size of chicken, lovingly topped with tomato sauce, ham and cheese. The food came out about 5 minutes after we ordered, and we were shocked at the speed this was cooked in, and still maintaining high quality of food whilst prioritising speed. The stafg were lovely, all with smiles on their faces and always being eager to help. A pleasant visit and...
Read moreWe had my sons first birthday 'lunch' in the auditorium. We had excellent service, yummy food with a quick delivery of service to our 34 guests. The only thing I could fault wasn't even the fault of the club but the other guests, there was another birthday party on at the time (no problems with that) but the children were absolutely wild in the children's room. They were throwing chairs, teasing and hitting some of the children who were with us. I find this completely the fault of the parents who were not supervising their children. Maybe the club could require adult supervision in the children's room at all times to prevent this? I had to approach two little boys and ask them to stop hurting one of the children with us. Was...
