This is just the sort of place you want to see when passing through a new town on a road trip. A no fuss bakery with all the usual suspects from your youth! Pies, sausage rolls, lamingtons, apple slice, cream buns and so on. Plus, great looking salad rolls were being made up as we speak. Only negative for me, and not their fault, (!) is as a coeliac, there was nothing for me to eat. While I do understand the hassles and expense involved in making a bakery gluten- free-safe for a coeliac, one day I'd just love to be able to order like other people.

Needed a coffee, so I stopped and got a pie n custard squares and a long cream doughnut . The food was nice, and the service was helpful and friendly. The price of the food was good, as was the size of the servings. The shop was clean and tidy. Seems popular with the locals.

Mushroom pie had nice thick chunks of mushroom, but the whole thing was on the small side for the price, the base was soggy, and it fell apart immediately in the hand. The place has a nice vibe though.

Moved to the town of Corowa last year to work as a health clinician rurally.

Australian born Muslim so is my wife. Therefore unfortunately we have some dietary requirements. Which was fine because most bakeries have veggie pies and salad sandwiches etc….

The second time I went to this bakery I took my wife with me who wears a veil (for religious purposes) and the lady at the front went from kind and lovely on the first occasion to disgusting on the second occasion. I approached the counter with my wife and asked “hello, what vegetarian options do you have”, lady at the counter “we don’t have any vegetarian options” me shocked as I was here just yesterday and got a veggie pie. My reply was “oh ok, but I got a veggie pie yesterday, are you sold out?” Her reply was “oh Yh, how was it?”. Gobsmacked at first and trying to hold back my confusion, I then finally caught on to the racism that was on display so I walked out and I’ll never be attending this bakery again. Very very...

I think it's about time for someone to take over the local bakery, as a local I have lived within the community all my life and support this local business every Sunday until they decided not to open on a Sunday and just asked for 4 salad sandwiches at 12pm on a Saturday for the owner to turn around to the young girl that served us and it was put into the too hard basket, could not be done. As the owner herself just finished making a salad sandwich for another customer. I will not support this business until it changes hands or abit of healthy competition with another bakery coming into town wouldn't be a bad thing. Off to Mulwala we...
