Otto's Artisan Bakehaus — Restaurant in Currajong

I went here with my husband yesterday (05/12/24) for a date, and we had a great time :) I'm currently 5 months pregnant, so have to be a little more cautious of what I eat when I go out because there are some things pregnant women aren't really suppose to eat (like home-made aoilis/mayo) and we have to be careful with lettuces/salads, and ensure meats are cooked to well done etc. I also have some food intolerances too, so I had to also factor that in to my order. The staff were so nice and helpful, answering my questions about ingredients and adjusting my order by removing some things (like the aioli and lettuce) and making sure the beef patty was really well done. I really appreciated that they took the time to answer my questions, adjust my order and make sure my order was prepared how I asked :) The customer service was above and beyond! I wish I got the name of the lady who served me, so I could mention her by name, she was so helpful and nice :)

The burgers were really delicious (we got the 4 cheese burger and the meat market burger), and they both came with a generous side of chips that were well seasoned and delicious too. They were the best burgers we've ever had honestly :)

Ottos is one of the nicest places to go to eat in Townsville, the food is always amazing, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is really nice too :) We will definitely be coming back again! Thanks,...

A hidden gem and must-visit for any foodie!! The cakes and pretzels are freshly made and the swiss roll was so nostalgic of bake sales - perfect sponge, strawberry jam with berries and vanilla chantilly cream. The grocer has beautiful fresh produce and there's an amazing selection of every kind of gourmet spice and condiment. Deli was incredible with charcutierie boards and cheeses as well as a delicious range of biscuits and...

Look. I don't want to take away from all the good things that Otto's is. Has anyone mentioned the best coffee in town. But.. in the cafe the croissants and bagels used for ham & cheese or lox and cream cheese are definitely not artisan quality. A big shame.
