Bar Tarifa — Restaurant in Denmark

I recently visited Bar Tarifa in Denmark, WA, and it was a fantastic experience. The tapas were superb, showcasing a blend of flavors that left me wanting more. The wine collection was impressive and extensive, perfectly complementing the food. The ambiance of the place was cozy and comfortable, making it a delightful spot to unwind, all while being very affordable.

What truly set Bar Tarifa apart was the personal touch of its owners, Michael and his wife. Michael, who is an architect, designed and built the bar himself, creating a welcoming and unique atmosphere. His sociable and attentive nature made our visit even more enjoyable. His wife, the head chef from Spain, crafted the amazing dishes that made the meal memorable.

Dropped in as it looked like a nice venue for a cocktail and a wine. Dismal experience. Walked in with the staff fighting over the ice. The service just yells with the lack of hospitality experience, from the other reviews, I summise that they are the owners. Getting beer served in some trashy glass and the draught lines clearly have not been cleaned in a while, tasted like a glass of copper. The wine requested was sold out and it seems their default setting is to serve by the bottle, just wanted a glass. Very beautiful place but very poor choice of food for dinner - in terms of tapas they had batatas bravas, croquettes and empanadas. For main paella or fish and chips. We had the fish, it was $30(!) and not nice at all. Greasy, with 2 leafs of lettuce as a "salad". We initially asked for the fish to be grilled and after asking "what does it mean?" the chef lady said she could try but not sure if the effect will be the same (sic!).
