On arriving at Little Oink in Cook, the adorable pig sculpture at the entrance hinted at the quirky charm of this cafe. The buzzing atmosphere inside was palpable, with patrons of all kinds contributing to a lively ambience. I opted for the creatively named "Bbbbbbbenny And The Eggs", Little Oink's rendition of the classic Eggs Benedict. Served on toasted 3 mills sourdough with a generous layer of spinach, it featured a succulent roasted pork shoulder, perfectly poached eggs, and a rich hollandaise sauce. The overall flavour profile was delightful, although I did find the spinach to be slightly overwhelming in proportion. My companion indulged in the "Parlez-Vous Français Toast", a sweet concoction of pressed French toast embellished with candied orange, caramel, and topped with citrus meringue. It was a hit for those with a sweet tooth. To complement our meals, we chose a refreshing juice and the Protein Smoothie, a satiating blend of banana, peanut butter, vanilla protein powder, and almond milk. Both beverages were spot on. While Little Oink has much to offer in terms of taste and ambiance, there's always a little room for perfecting the balance in some dishes. That said, it's a place I'd certainly revisit and recommend.

Very nice looking Cafe, cosy atmosphere. Quick service but there was a problem with my order. I clearly asked for one large cap. The guy serving me misheard me and thought I said 4. Which ended op costing me $40 and they did not offer me a refund just a free coffees for next time. I would have preferred the refund or for them to at least ask. He said that I said 4 caps, saying I need to speak clearer. And asked if I was a regular this should not have anything to do with him not understanding me clearly. If you are unsure of what someone asks please double check. Coffee was too weak for, not sure if it was too much milk or not strong enough of shots. I was speaking clearly and I did not ask for 4 coffees this was not handled professionally in my opinion that I was not asked if I wanted a refund. Especially in this economy it wasn't fair in my part. Also being a regular customer should have nothing to do with if my order was taken wrong.

Ive been here a few times now, but never wrote anything about it. I stopped in this morning for a quick coffee, but ended up grabbing a bacon and egg roll too. I saw a couple of people eating them and couldnt resist. The secret is obviously out because the place is always busy. I managed to sneak an outside table. Lucky timing! Anyway, staff are always friendly and helpful. My order was taken quickly, and before i knew it, my piccolo was on my table. Its tasty coffee. Different to the Ona beans that seem so common around town. Good flavour, and nice and smooth. The, my bacon and egg roll was here. Just the basic one this morning. And u say basic, but man, there was two eggs and plentry of bacon. Bbq sauce to top it off. Just what i needed before starting the day. So good. I dont get to Cook too often, but when i do, definitely worth popping in. Thanks guys. See you next time.
