From the moment we stepped into this delightful pizza bar, our experience was imbued with warmth and hospitality. A charming hostess greeted us with a welcoming smile, effortlessly setting the tone for a memorable evening. Not only did she seat us promptly, but she also promptly arranged our first round of drinks. Her personable demeanor instantly created an atmosphere of familiarity that put us at ease.

The culinary journey began with a beautifully presented squid starter. The blend of flavors was tantalizing, leaving us eagerly anticipating the main course. We were not disappointed. The star of the evening was, without doubt, the wood-fired pizzas. Each was a visual feast, brimming with vibrant ingredients that translated into mouth-watering tastes.

To conclude the culinary symphony, a couple of us chose the Flan for dessert. The richness of its flavor was the perfect full stop to our meal, leaving us basking in gastronomic satisfaction.

Beyond the superb food, the ambiance of the venue played a key role in our enjoyment. Its cozy, inviting aura made a winter's night feel comforting, creating a space that felt equally suited for any occasion, be it a date, a work dinner, or a family gathering.

My daughter and I were walking past when we witnessed the incident mentioned above by Ayeesha and I can assure any readers it was NOT from the staff at Bentham st Bar and Pizza. The way the customer spoke the waitress was absolutely disgusting. The waitress was polite, professional and calmly outlined the current COVID 19 measures which are in place to protect everyone. For whatever reason the customer decided they didn't want to adhere to the measures and both the customer and her husband launched into an argument with the waitress. I read the reference to racism and that is sickening - there was nothing untoward said to the customer and they are clearly attempting to fling as much mud as possible. Their behaviour was inexcusable and i sincerely hope with some reflection they are able to change their behavioural patterns, if not for yourselves but for your child who witnessed the unnecessary drama too.

Dined here for a special occasion and it did not disappoint. We were staying in Canberra, up from Melbourne.

Thank you to Harriet, who is very good at her job, not only did she look after our table but there were 25 other people in the restaurant and did it all (out the front) and no one was wanting for anything: drinks, food and even grabbed the door for customers. She deserves a big raise.

We ordered cocktails, wine and tapas: Lamb cutlets Calamari Barbecue prawns Salad. and wine

The food was great and with a real barbecue flavour. everything was excellent as well as the service, with a genuine, friendly no fuss approach. We were very impressed.

Wine list is decent and not too pricey.

We took home the Spanish creme caramel and the brownie. Both were exceptional, and I was worried I wasn't going to like them. You can tell your mum I really enjoyed them...
