I’ve ordered Cup and Coaster multiple times on my quest to find the best breakfast burger in Fyshwick and I can confidently say that they take 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for the options they have on offer… Actually, they’re all worthy of 1st place, so I’ll rank them a little unconventionally.

1st place (A) goes to the brekkie Roll. All the basics on a milk bun that is cooked to perfection. All ingredients work so well together that I’d be happy to pay more than the $12.95 price tag for this.

1st place (B) is the morning bun. The Turkish roll is so good! Double egg and a hash brown so I’d recommend this if you’re feeing extra hungry.

3rd place (C) is the Seoul Brioche. I’ve never had anything like this! It’s almost like eating a French toast sandwich - The flavours are incredible. You’ll probably need cutlery to get through this as it’s huge!

Honestly, you can’t go wrong with whichever option you pick!

Honourable mention goes to the classic biggie, which isn’t a breakfast roll but I couldn’t NOT mention it as it’s one of the best big breakfasts I’ve ever had. Also, service here is second to none - Just as good as the coffee. So, if you’re ever in Fyshwick check...

a lovely surprise from my husband who took me here as I was wanting to eat pinoy foods. It's a cozy cafe and youre greeted with a warm welcome. The tables are spaced out nicely and they practise social distancing. After ordering our foods our coffee almost came out immediatley which was awesome. Our foods also came out not too long after which is good as we had our toddler with us, we needed a fast service as we were scared he would start getting restless and cause some rukus. We ordered the lemislog and beef tapa. I think it catered to the western palate as traditionally the beef is more dry and the pork deep fried and more fat, I wish the rice was a little bit bigger on the serving size regardless it was delicious and I am glad my husband took me here. It's on the priceier side compared to Sydney but thats ACT pricing .We'll be back as I want to try more foods from their menu and their foods were flavoursome. Bonus I love that they are open 7 days a week this is now a new fave of mine and I'll be telling our friends...

Tucked away in a cozy corner, Cup & Coaster is one of those hidden gems that instantly makes you want to linger a little longer. From the moment you step in, the warm, minimalist interior and soft indie playlist set the perfect tone for a chill morning or a reflective afternoon.

I ordered a flat white and their signature croissant sandwich—and both were spot on. The coffee was smooth with just the right balance of richness and flavor, clearly made with care. The croissant was flaky, buttery, and filled generously, making it both satisfying and comforting.

The service was friendly and unpretentious—just the way I like it. You’re not rushed here; whether you’re reading, chatting, or just zoning out, they let you be.

If you’re looking for a place with quality coffee, good vibes, and a space to breathe, Cup & Coaster is...

This little gem tucked away in the semi-industrial area of Fyshwick is overshadowed by its more obvious cafe neighbours on the main road, but that's good because it's relatively quieter and that gives it more charm. Very dog friendly, (outside seating), and the inside is cosy, industrial but bookish - and lots of plants. The food is plentiful and a mix of standards - with a slight Asian tweak to some. Eggs Benny, shakshuka, but also japanese omlete (I can't spell onoyomiyaki) and pork belly Benny. Good sauces and good breads, excellent coffee and powdered chai latte (for those that don't like the raw spice or syrup versions at Cafe Ona), and there are pupaccinos! Service always with a smile and good prices. Parking is easier in the court rather than the road. It's my go-to these days, especially if I have the dog with me.
