The reviews seemed promising, so I was genuinely looking forward to trying this place. With Indonesian heritage, I ordered Batagor and Lontong Sayur hoping for a taste of home, but sadly, it missed the mark. The peanut sauce had a sour tang and an unusually dark brown colour, quite different from the light, creamy version typical of Batagor. The Lontong Sayur was puzzling: no vegetables at all, and the broth was overly oily. The rice cake was soft and soggy, lacking the firm, al dente texture that’s expected. To add to the disappointment, the food appeared to have been reheated in a microwave. I truly want to support businesses that showcase Indonesian cuisine, but based on this experience, I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending it. I hope the feedback helps the team refine the dishes and better reflect the rich flavours of Indonesia.

This place came highly recommended, yet we left disappointed The service was awful. After waiting nearly 20 minutes I went inside to follow up. I was advised we could self serve drinks, would have been nice to have been told that when we ordered. Food was 'coming'. I have no idea why they left us sitting for so long without bothering to check on us and our empty table They asked our table number, I told them we hadn't received one. They asked what we ordered, I fear our order was lost. The table beside us had their order messed up. It was Friday lunchtime, and not crazy busy The food arrived and looked great, both slow cooked meats were delicious. My rice was dry, roti was oily It is most unlikely I would return given the poor service, cannot recommend

Went to visit last Saturday with my friend as we wanted Indonesian food for lunch. The food was absolutely incredible!! We got the chicken rendang and the chicken fried rice which were both also served in very generous portions! I also got an iced latte which was really good, the coffee beans were roasted just right and served with the precise amount of ice. Although there were many customers to serve and even a queue when we were there, the three young gentlemen at front of house did amazing holding down the fort. 10/10. Would 100% recommend! 👌🏼

“All Five Star”Cafe!!! I suffered from a very terrible thing here!! I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. I am a job seeker and looking for another parttime job. This is the thing: At the first time,I got a call from the cafe and a message told me that go for interview on Monday 10am and I arrived at9:30 and I messaged that I will wait outside but no answers. At10 I asked when can I have an interview. But I wait till 10:40and I was asked by the staff to write down my number and work experience go home, the reason is too busy and no time to interview me. The second time,I didn't get any call but I got a message from gumtree and tell me to come this Monday at 10. This time I arrived at 9:58 and go for interview immediately. But I was asked It is too busy to have interview today and to leave my number and then go home again. I felt totally ignored whole time and I felt fooled! I deleted my last review because I was threatened that I mentioned “name”in this website and if I didnt delete in24hrs. I will be sued. I dont judge in this review so if you read my review and have empathy to me. I believe you will make a right judgement to this store. and if anyone can help me...

Tried to get a breakfast here this morning. One portion of Batagor and a cup of flat white.

As an Indonesian (and an expert in 'jajan'), the batagor was quite decent. Bakso and tahu are both soft-inside and crunchy-outside. Their sambel kacang (peanut sauce) on top of the batagor was also a thumbs up, with an Indonesian-level spiciness, which I appreciated. Coffee was also okay, no complains.

However, the service experience was quite disappointing. The waiters keep checking our table numerous times, to the point that it was annoying me since they asked whether my plate had been finished, while I still had a half portion of my Batagor there. I understand the concern (and might be, the limitation of plates/cups), but it was honestly very disturbing.

All in all, if you don't mind about this kind of experience and just need a place to stop for a while for a good food, I'd recommend this place. But to be honest, I am hoping for an improvement in...
