First time at this place and unfortunately although the location was fantastic it was very disappointing experience. My daughter had made a booking earlier in the week for 2pm and confirmed earlier in the day of our booking that the kitchen would be open at 2pm for Mother’s Day and was reassured this was the case. When we arrived, the place was crowded which was expected as it was a special occasion. We waited to be seated, along with another group of people behind us. After 10 minutes of being cleared ignored by the wait staff I signalled for their attention and a young man (who was saving his smile for another occasion!) came over then called a waitress over who checked her list and seated at our table. After reading through the menu, my daughter walked over to a waitress clearing a table nearby to ask whether we order at the counter as there was a long line and things seemed a bit chaotic. She was told that we had to order at the counter and in addition that the ‘food was running out’ and there was ‘no dough left for pizza’!! I couldn’t believe it .. a pizza place runs out of dough on Mother’s Day!! And we had booked. Reading the comments it’s obvious the cafe has not learnt from their mistakes as there are many similar complaints. As I was not interested in other items on the menu we had to make a dash over to the National Library hoping we could get something there. Fortunately, it was still open for all items on the menu. It’s obvious from the comments, what I observed that the owners are not experienced in the hospitality business and/or done their research on running a food venue. Making a pizza at home and for the public are two different things that’s why many businesses fail. I’m sure many others were...
Read moreHave been there and back again quite a number of times. The paninis and pizzas are good (good crust, pillowy panini and thin with light chew for the pizza.) but for me the star of the show is the delicious Cortado.
Not common around here. So finding one was a godsend on its own. Then came the taste and it blew me away. Have been a Cortado and/or Gibraltar drinker for a good part of my life and kind of gave up. The occasional Magic or Strong white seems to suffice.. but I digress.
Spotted the Cortado listing and proceeded to order. It was appropriately sized, and that lit me up. Then came the taste.
It was the right temperature, it was beautifully subtle, nutty, fragrant and smooth. The perfect two gulp espresso drink. Intense but not bitter or burnt. Just enough to give a good hit but not the harsh.
The beauty behind this was the Barista - Ash.
Just happened to have met her when she was on duty and have her prep the drink and it seems like she has quite the way with the machine and it was truly one of the best Cortado I’ve had in years.
Sadly, noticed that the drink does differ when made by another. (But this is just an opinion)
Will be back for sure. Loving the spread. Thankful for the presence of this place and...

I have been to your venue on multiple times since you opened. The location, the ambience and the seating is fantastic, but unfortunately there has been an emerging trend recently whereby the service and the lengthy coffee delays detract from the setting.
To be clear, this is not due to a lack of employees, of which there are many. Rather, there seems to be no urgency in the operation, particularly with coffees. On 4 occasions over the past week I have waited 10 minutes for my coffee (a magic) and on half those occasions the coffee - which should be strong - tasted like luke warm milk with only a marginal taste of espresso.
Similarly, the bacon and egg rolls were disappointing as the bacon was not cooked sufficiently and the roll is microwaved rather than toasted, leaving parts of the inside luke warm (at best).
Could I ask that you consider placing more emphasis on delivering coffees quickly to customers and ensure that toasters are used in preparation of breakfast offerings. I don't consider that this is too much to ask given customers are paying a premium for your items.
Many...
