Sea Harvest Fyshwick — Restaurant in District of Canberra Central

The only reason I go into this place is because there is no other place to go, I have purchased seafood from this place and very poor quality as in NOT FRESH, to the point I had food poisoning and also my dinner guests, the prices are ridiculous and the people serving are clearly not caring about inputting the correct coding to ensure correct pricing. Recently bought some very expensive seafood from this place and have decided enough I will not be going back. The lobsters were not fresh they would have been kept for a period of 2 or more weeks.

2024 this place is still running. I have purchased seafood and either the scales require servicing or the sales people are still doing what they do best ripping off hardworking folks.

I am asked to call regarding the grading I gave. To be honest I would not give anything the only reason tbere is a star is because it is the only way I can post. HONESTY and service to match is NON EXISTENT. I have gone back again and again to this place in the hope things have changed. They want the $$$$ but won't provide quality, service...

Bought king prawns last Thursday (not the damaged ones that were cheaper) and they were very strange when peeled, very mushy, soft texture, you could squash the meat easily between your fingers??!! . I rang & left a message to check if this was normal and if they were ok to eat, no one showed me the courtesy of a return phone call, so we threw them out as we didnt want to risk getting sick if we ate them. I have never had prawns with this texture? Very suspect quality and condition and very disappointing to not have received the basic courtesy of a call back. The service in the store was very good but I wouldn't risk buying here again. I don't like leaving negative reviews and would prefer to speak directly with people however, Sea Harvest owners obviously dont bother with customer service and why have a message bank if you arent going to bother returning customers calls especially when they are polite and reasonable? On the weekend we went to this store to buy fresh seafood. The guy serving really shouldn't be involved with public relations, to walk away would have been wise, We didn't get a receipt..damn The fish smells of an unknown chemical. Although not requested we got included 3 steaks of grey tuna, totally dangerous to eat, which I guess was on the receipt. We washed under cold water the Whiting fillets. Thinking that would clear the chemical a bit like an over chlorinated swimming pool water. Then marinated them with garlic, ginger, lime. After 20 min, the pool watet smell was still there.
