We went to Thai Herb for lunch. There was not busy but service was extremely poor waited over 20 mins for the food comes. The price is not reasonable for the local restaurant. They cost $10 for 2 chicken wings cut in half. We happy to pay more but the quality is good. But what did we have??? The quality is so bad. I’ve ordered chicken wings for the first order then came super dry and hard. So I placed the other order then I need to wait for another 20mins. I asked the staff they said:ā€Because the chicken wings takes long time to cook šŸ˜‘šŸ˜Œā€. The restaurant was not busy however they just focus on takeaways. I don’t think they actually need the customer dine in. We also ordered the crispy pork with Chinese broccoli. They said unfortunately ran out of Chinese broccoli they would give us broccoli instead. We also happy to have it. Then came with a really hard pork (over cooked) and even tasteless. It seemed like just deep fried without marinated. It makes us so disappointed and won’t be back for sure. NOT RECOMMEND...

Zomato is an app for food lovers, so it needs the honest reviews from all customers. Tonight we went to the Thai herb restaurant in gungahlin, it’s unbelievable that the curry dish and the pad Thai can be served within 3 to 5 mins after we ordered the food. I am sure that they didn’t cook the food fresh but just heat the food up. Worse still, the dishes were not hot at all when they arrived on the table. We ate a lot of delicious thai food before in somewhere else but unfortunately this restaurant extremely disappointed us. I apologise but I would not recommend this restaurant to you all unless they make improvements in the aspects of freshness, tastiness and the basic food temperature. They should have cooked the food freshly for customers in stead of just heat the food up. Some of the dishes can even charge up to $30 each. This is extremely overpriced and not worth that price at all. It’s ridiculous that it could get 4.2 stars on websites. It’s...

I hope this information helps future customers to decide their visit given their poor hygiene and service quality.

We used to visit here regularly as we did love the food here. However, recent visit was very disappointing and it makes us never want to come back again.

We ordered Pad See Ew, Tom Yum Soup. There was a moth found on Tom Yum Soup. We informed the hall staff immediately.

But the service handling the issue was very poor. The staff asked us if we want to have another soup. We thought they were supposed to make another and deliver to us but they asked US to decide.

Also, when I visited the other restaurants and found the bugs or hair, they usually provide drinks on the house to express their apology.

We understand it is hard to control flying bugs or hair sometimes, but the service here was very unprofessional. Even the food is no longer tasty anymore. Pad See Ew was greasy so hard to finish the...

I've been to Thai Herb >10x. I even remember the good old days when they used to be located near Yerrabi Pond. They keep making minor but consistent improvement, from decor to cutlery to food presentation. Service and balance of flavours could improve a bit to take it to the next level. * Reasonably good service * Good for takeaway * Generous serves * A booking is probably better as they get busy. Recommend: Duck pancake( entree), soft shell crab, steamed fish, papaya salad. Today we were seated outside. Wait staff couldn't see us from inside, so some delays because of that. Chicken skewers: Satay sauce was a reddish colour and not very peanutty Scallop entree: Slightly undercooked. A delightful presentation of scallop, citrus, apple and herbs unnecessarily muddled with raw garlic and lots of chilli. Duck curry: Chunky and flavorful. On the sweet side with the addition of both lychee and pineapple.

If you are craving for Thai food Thai Herb could easily be one of your options. Recommended to reserve during peak periods. Your have to option of downloading the menu or can request a hard copy of the menu. The staff will reach your table to take your order. The chicken popcorn is a must try to get your taste buds primed. If you are having the Laksa, you will find it flavourful but a little too sweet to your liking. Authentic? Perhaps no, the flavours have been tuned to the local taste. The chilli basil was passable , and the veggies a bit under cooked. Whereas the Thai green curry was delicious. Definitely try the fried rice which was an other winner. The portions were huge and we could not complete it. But the friendly staff will help you with take away boxes if you ask for it. Overall a good experience. Will definitely go again to try their other dishes. Enjoy!

Living next block so coming here time to time :) I don’t see the grumpy old guy ( he said he is the owner of this restaurant and often yelling at the staffs and made me upset to see it ) which is very good, peace for everyone. People who is working in here is always nice, and the meal is very stably nice. I don’t need anything super modern or very new style Thai at all, all I want for the Thai food is reasonable, fast and taste fine. Their pad Thai is not the best one but it tastes good, it is not super good but it is always the same and stable, it’s the important thing for the local people :) when you come here, you can have proper meal, nothing very edgy but stably nice. It is like your home food. What you want more for daily meal? After terrible Thai food experiences, we always come back to here :) Thank you P.s I like their curry puff :)
