Gary’s Kitchen — Restaurant in District of Tuggeranong

Lunch menu between Tuesday to Thursday is great under$15 with a drink. The place is really clean which is a great start when I compare it to the over rated venues in Dickson. Localised feel with local service, reliant on the community they go above and beyond using quality ingredients and helpful service. Combination of flavours is thought out and well executed. My only negative comment is perhaps they heat up the place in winter, but I do understand with such a large venue and affordable menu it can be difficult. It's definitely not a deterrent and it's become our local lunch venue.

The location is centred around Erindale shopping centre, so parking is extremely easy though at times with people shopping in the centre it can get a little tight.

In this day we tried vegetarian options to see the quality of ingredients and it didn't disappoint. The array of green and colourful vegetables combined with tofu or fried bean curd converged on the wok style taste known to favourite Asian cuisine.

I was absolutely disgusted with how the so called restaurant works. I was there on a Friday night with 3 people with special needs. They took way to long to take our order. I saw some chopsticks dropped on the floor and a staff member picked them up and put them into a pile of chopsticks that were being placed on tables. I alerted other staff and all she did was mix up the chopsticks all together. Our fried rice arrived approximately 15 minutes before the main courses. We ordered 3 honey chickens and when they arrived at the table only 2 came and another one about 10 minutes later. By this stage the rice was way too cold to eat with the meals. Great food and exceptional service. One of the items we ordered for delivery was Laksa. The noodles were missing from the order so we rang them. They were very apologetic and fresh noodles were delivered within 15 minutes. Everyone makes mistakes but the important thing is how the mistakes are handled. Gary's Kitchen responded very quickly to correct the error. That is excellent service in my opinion. With other Chinese restaurants I have ordered from in the past, they have told me to come and pick up the missing items (and usually with no apology).
