A Gem of a Restaurant: Delicious Food and Inviting Atmosphere This was my first visit to Pannarai, and I can confidently say it won't be my last. Everything about the experience was delightful. A Feast for the Senses The moment you step inside, the cool and comfortable decor creates a welcoming ambiance. The space is clean and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. The acoustics are excellent, allowing for easy conversation without any distracting noise. Attentive Staff and Top-Notch Food The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. But the true star of the show is the food. A Seafood Salad to Remember I opted for the "Yum tulay" salad, and it did not disappoint. The seafood was cooked to perfection, boasting a fresh and vibrant taste. Even the calamari, which can sometimes be rubbery, was tender and soft. The dressing was a perfect harmony of flavors, elevating the salad into a mouthwatering masterpiece. We stopped at Dongara for an overnight stay and after reading the amazing reviews decided to have dinner here.

To say the very least it was EXTREMELY disappointing!! We ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and a Combination Fried Rice. We asked for both to be Extra spicy/hot.

The food when it came was ALL wrong! Servings were quite small - and both dishes were COMPLETELY tasteless..the Pad Thai was even made with the wrong noodles..definitely not the flat rice noodles traditionally used..no veg other heaps of bean sprouts n some spring onions..! The fried rice was better (after the Pad Thai anything would look better!)..but ONLY JUST!

Lesson learned..don't always believe...

We stopped here for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it is. A great menu with plenty of choice, and not crazy expensive for what you get. The service was prompt and the team polite and helpful, despite being rushed off their feet. I enjoyed bacon and eggs (poached) on toast with possibly one of the best flat white coffees that I have ever had! Maybe we'd been on the road too long?:-) They have a nice area outside but we chose to sit inside as it was still a bit cold. The place is based in a grand old building and has a good vibe, which made for a nice place to stop and enjoy a bite to eat. Highly...
