Poppies at the Park — Restaurant in Dongara

Dongara,ok you might not get here but if you do ,Poppies, great coffee shop in historic building.Small but great coffee and food,atmosphere galore!!! It just changed hands , new owners take note! Closes 3.00 pm ok fine , so I arrive at 2.30. the girls tell me NO COFFEE! Machine washed and down. This time, yes coffee but only take away, that's ok. Except they had all the cakes etc packed up into fridge at 2.42 . I think these girls want to be gone at 3.00 . So maybe say closed at 2.30 cos that's what your staff are doing, great place just don't like missing out cos of this issue. Fabulous space.

Barista and assumed owner was very competent, friendly and had great banter.

My partner was blown away by the pepper steak panini. I enjoyed my ham and cheese panini. The sides with it were also very worth it (Doritos! So smart and simple!) It was a touch pricey but the quality was reflected - don't expect the Coles standard toasted Turkish !

Coffee delicious. Beautiful little space, indoor and outdoor, at dawn when we got there (thankyou for fuelling us and being open at that time!)

Went there yesterday for afternoon tea 30 minutes before closing. Everything packed away including all food. We were made feel uncomfortable and when the next customer came in he was told he could only get a take away coffee. This made us feel even more rushed so they could go home.
