Dungog Pizza — Restaurant in Dungog

First time was on a Saturday night just at close. We were just looking for desert but was told that they had just wrapped them up in glad wrap so we couldn't purchase any. We left a bit perplexed 😕. Glad wrap is easy to take off! Second time I was apprehensive but went with a large group so was happy to go along. Ordered a medium Mediterranean but was told there were no medium left. "Can't you just put a large on a medium plate and cut it"? Waiting for the pizza now and I'm sure it'll be good but the guy attending the counter has left a bad tast in my mouth. Great place to stop in! Went for a day drive out to Dungog, (which I would move here easily). Love the old country town feel. t The staff at this restaurant were lovely, great, humorous and made you feel like family the second you walked in. The fish and chips, loaded brisket, kids bolognaise, and pizza and garlic bread were great and everyone had a great meal. Yummy pizzas let down by absence of service. If I was just rating the pizzas, this would be 4 stars. They were delicious, well made and popular. Locals had warned us about service and they were right. No one came to take orders for drinks for a good 15 or 20 minutes and bizarrely you have to go to the counter to order food (which, if you’re not aware, can catch you out as there is nothing on the menu or elsewhere to say you have to order at the counter).
