We stopped in at the Long Room for lunch after finding that the prices of the Long Room were much more reasonable than the bistro down the road (which we walked into, saw the prices, then immediately walked out again). We ordered a couple of burgers and coffees then took seats outside. Shortly after, our coffees and burgers all came out at the same time, which was nice. The burgers were delicious and of generous sizes. But the nicest surprise was the coffee: I'm not sure what brand they're brewing up at the Long Room but it was a nice strong coffee without being at all bitter - a very pleasant surprise as I can't stand bitter coffee. We sat at our outdoor seating and enjoyed a lovely afternoon meal in a quiet small town.

Lovely cafe in the main street of Dungog. You can sit outside in the sunshine or inside at a booth or table. Nicely decorated too. The staff are lovely & the menu is good. We had the gourmet breakfast roll & the ham and cheese croissant which where very nice but I forgot to take a photo.

Such a lovely cosy café. Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed a delicious scrambled eggs and bacon on toast 🍳 🥓 🥪; had to add hash brown of course. Accompanied by a delicious hot chocolate. ☕️.

I called in today and ordered their big breakfast at about 1110, after sitting at a table for 15 minutes, I was told breakfast finished at 1100. With this closure of breakfast I asked if I could have a burger, with cheese, bacon, egg and a hash brown side and they answered yes, well I asked what is the difference and they said it was on the lunch menu, GO FIGURE! This is in a country town that is literally dying with drought, yet they refuse to accommodate a customer and then tell me if I wasn't happy, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, so I did, and I found a much better place.
