Located in the heart of East Victoria Park, Penang Village Malaysian Delights is a culinary gem that attract diners who crave for authentic Malaysia foods. I came here for Sunday lunch, and I would like to share my thoughts on some of their signature dishes. Nasi Lemak (4/5): Starting with the national dish of Malaysia, the Nasi Lemak at Penang Village is a delight for the senses. The fragrant coconut rice, served with a perfectly fried egg, sambal, crunchy peanuts, and crispy anchovies, is a symphony of flavours and textures. The curry chicken is tender with the right spiciness. Special Telur Tofu (4.5/5): The Tofu Telur is a remarkable appetizer that combines the softness of tofu with the crispiness of the omelet. The savory peanut sauce drizzled generously over the top takes this dish to another level. It's a wonderful balance of flavours and textures, making it a standout dish on the menu. Sambal Anchovies Fried Rice (4/5): If you're a fan of fried rice, Penang Village's Special Fried Rice with Sambal Anchovies won't disappoint. Packed with a variety of ingredients such as shrimp, fish cake, and squid. It is a hearty and satisfying choice. The rice is well-seasoned and cooked to perfection, the home-made sambal anchovies paste is unique and delicious. Ice Kacang (4/5): You couldn't resist trying the Ice Kacang, a delightful shaved ice dessert topped with colourful sweet toppings, red beans and corns. Don't forget to enjoy the attap chee, the chewy jelly. The portion size is generous and good for sharing. Teh Tarik (4/5): It was the perfect complement to the spicy and savory flavours of the meal. The aroma of the tea, sweetness of the milk is near to perfection. In addition to the food, the service at Penang Village Malaysian Delights was friendly and attentive. The Malay lady waitress has very welcoming attitude who make your dining experience memorable. In summary, Penang Village Malaysian Delights offers an authentic Malaysian dining experience in East Victoria Park. I will definitely be coming back to try other foods on the menu.

A silver fork might not be necessary to enjoy good food, and our recent visit to this restaurant was a testament to that. Accompanied by an ex-colleague, we delved into a delightful array of dishes that left us thoroughly satisfied. Among our selections were the Penang Char Kway Teow, which immediately captivated us with its enticing smokiness. The flavors were robust yet harmonious, showcasing a skillful balance of ingredients and seasonings. Equally impressive was the Special Telur Tofu, a dish that blended textures and flavors with finesse. To round out our meal, we opted for the Sweet & Sour Chicken, a timeless choice that did not disappoint. The chicken was impeccably cooked, tender yet with a satisfying crunch, coated in a flavorful sauce that struck a perfect balance between tangy and sweet. Throughout our dining experience, the ambiance was welcoming and the service attentive, enhancing our overall enjoyment. The restaurant's commitment to quality was evident in every dish served, leaving us with a memorable dining experience. We look forward to returning to savor more of their offerings and highly recommend it to anyone seeking authentic and delicious Asian cuisine.

After looking around at a few restaurants online I decided on this one specifically because it had cendol. We came by for dinner with family and booked since we had a fairly larger group. There was plenty of street parking near the restaurant. We grabbed a few things to share. The salted egg soft shell crab was just amazing. Crispy, crabby and eggy so it was really nice with rice or just by itself. The Hokkein mee and char kweh tiew were alright. The flavours were kinda there but missing a few things like the pork lard in the Hokkien Mee. It was the same for the Orange Honey Chicken, some flavours were there and it was ok as it. I didn't like the kungo po beef, as it seemed like it was missing flavours. The chendol was nice, fairly decent portion and really tasty. Overall it was a nice place to eat at. The food and portion were good and service was also fairly good.

Small and authentic restaurant. All the dishes that I saw going to other tables looked delicious and my own were also delicious. Everything was cooked fresh and well seasoned. The food was hot, spiced and fragrant but no dish was overly spiced since the air inside the restaurant was pleasant. Restaurant was recommended and my first time, I ordered the kway teo, curry laksa, special telur tofu tower, golden floss prawn and due to miscommunication I thought I had ordered the kerabu barramundi but didn't. Everything was delicious and cooked well. Nothing was overly oily and I was super impressed with the kway teo since it didn't leave an oily residue on the plate or my mouth. It wasn't too saucy nor burnt but had that beautiful wok smell and flavour.. So delicious. The curry laksa broth was delicious too - creamy but not too much, just right. It was perfectly seasoned and fragrant. The best laksa I've had. I know it's the best because I could eat more than one without getting bored. Some places the broth is well seasoned but no creamy or creamy but too heavy and not smooth. This one was just perfect. I liked the tofu tower and the floss prawn too but I had eaten a lot so had packed some to take home. If you order these dish, you would need to order rice or something else since it doesn't come with it. I didn't because I needed to make room.

Only down side is that this restaurant is over 30 mins for me to drive to otherwise I would know their menu...

My recent experience with their staff was miserable. I am one of the regular customer of this restaurant i called them on Wednesday (2 days prior to my booking) to book a table for 15 people. They told me that they can reserve a table but for little earlier time which i said i dont have issue with that, then suddenly they come up with a new policy which i never heard in last 2 years that perhead of $25 will be charged. I mentioned i am happy to pay for adults but i have 3-4 children which include infants and toddlers do i need to pay for them as well, they mentioned its PER HEAD chargec age doesn’t matter. I was not happy with this and requested to talk to manager. Manager called me after an hour and when i explained this he said as you’re our regular customer we will not charge you with this per head for children. And mentioned i will confirm your booking in next 5 mins. Since then they did not call back. I called them 11 times on Wednesday and Thursday as well nobody is answering when i sent a text on Thursday to confirm my booking they replied we are fully booked. Thats a shame!! I tried calling again nobody answered. Thats how you treat with your regular customers? Poor...
