Club Forbes — Restaurant in Forbes

The Forbes Services Club has a cinema embedded in its location. When we entered the doors, it was such a curious feeling that most people there were queuing for the movies while we were there for dinner. Located on Templar Street, one can’t help but feel that Forbes is somehow hosting the Australian version of the Da Vinci Code. But I digress, since we weren’t on the hunt for the Holy Grail but hunt for food instead, I can highly recommend the Services Club. We were there in October 2018 when the drought had just broken, past the fields where farmers were busily operating their machinery plowing their fields, hoping against hope that the rain and storm clouds just on the outskirts of town would hit their freshly-plown lands. Dinner time at the club was full of farmers who were celebrating the arrival of the rain. The palpable relief that the waters had come were reflected with the huge country servings on the tables. Went there today for lunch with the wife for the first time.. we had pork belly cauliflower roasted with fennel and mash spud The wife had a chicken schnitzel burger … very little chicken on the burger , much smaller than the black bun that it was on Now the pork belly was disgustingly pathetic It smelt off and very rubber like and 3 small pieces of cauliflower with the worst mashed spud with mustard in it ever $53 was the cost and neither of could eat our expensive meal and walked out disgusted Will never return Will never recommend this...

Loved the helpful friendly staff. I went to the movies I hate to say but the theatre was filthy. We had to get staff in to clean the area. I have to sat they were very apologetic about the condition of the theatre. The screen is a big screen and the sound system was great. The experience was fantastic as there is only seating for 37 and the choice of seating had bean bags. All over a fantastic time from all the people who we didn't know lots...
