Very disappointed with the whole experience. Not a great start to the New year. We are visiting to celebrate the new year and decided to have breakfast out. At first a little confused with the 15% surcharge (public holiday) when the public holiday is on the 2nd of Jan? Secondly ordered extra hash browns and didn’t receive them, when we asked for them the waitress explained that they were given to us, we kindly replied that they were mistaken, then the service staff came out and echoed the the wait staff and insisted we were not being truthful…. Moments later he came back we our receipt and apologized and that he will get the hash browns straight away. Within a minute the hash browns were served which was fantastic until we took a bite! They were frozen in the middle… at this point we had given up and simply advised the wait staff that the hash browns were frozen and left.. our order came to $132 that included the 15% surcharge $17.04 for a “public holiday” which in normal circumstances wouldn’t be an issue. Let’s just say Jamaica blue need to look into who they give franchises too because it’s detrimental to every other Jamaica blue franchise owner… needless to say I will never eat at a...
Read moreWhen there with my fiancé after a nice break from home for breakfast . Ordered two bacon and egg brioche rolls, two hash browns, and two hot chocolates. Waited a while when the shop wasn't even busy. After waiting 20 minutes the manager came up to me and informed me that the deep fryer isn't working would I like a refund or extra bacon? I though in my head Im already getting a a bacon and egg roll, so asked for a refund but why was I not told at the time of ordering. When the rolls finally came out it is the worst food I have ever seen! The buns were so badly burnt they should of been thrown away! Undercooked bacon and all fat, eggs im sure were undercooked and just drowned in sauce to compensate. Very terrible customer service and food. I would honestly suggest chickens at forster over it anyday. The only decent thing was the...
Read moreIt's very rare I complain about a cafe but this was one of the worst breakfast experiences of my life. To start off our table was dirty and had plates on it from the previous diners (expected during busy periods) but it then took 20 minutes and requesting 2 different people to clean it before they finally cleared it. We ordered food and it took 40 minutes to arrive, people who ordered after us received food before us. A $6 milkshake came out looking like something from the kids menu, my $16 "classic breakfast" looked like a disaster: burnt bacon, homebrand sliced toast which wasn't even toasted properly, homebrand microwaved hash brown and a tomato which has seen better days.
The coffee came out quick but was as bad as the food.. Atleast they...
