Lots of good things to say about this restaurant. We went for lunch, which has only been operational for 3 weeks. Before that it was a dinner only place so I hope the extra opening hours lead to additional revenue for them.
Three people & three dishes ordered, all with positive feedback. The aroma when the dishes were cooked led to high expectations and we weren't disappointed. We ordered chicken cooked with chilli & basil served with rice, chicken laksa and massaman curry pork (no photo of the last dish).
All were good but the laksa had a fantastic review, my friend saying it was the best or at least equal best she's had in Cairns. And unusually for laksa it was served looking quite elegant -- different to every other laksa I've seen.
Perhaps because there weren't many customers there were only 2 staff in the restaurant, the front office lady and the cook / chef. Both were friendly and welcoming. It looked and felt like a family business and it was a pleasure to dine there.

Read moreUnfortunately on the 4th visit to this restaurant the meals have slipped big time, curry was not very good for both of us, barely any duck in one and mine was bland and had maybe a few thingbslices of mushroom and not enough sauce, I had to get up and ask for basil to add to it, hugely disappointed. Make sure you’re hungry when you go here! Friendly smiley service and everything came out for our group of 7 perfect. The entrees are large and super yummy. The main meals are large and tasty and our group ordered seafood pad Thai, vegetarian pad Thai, seafood laksa, and another beef dish, all were great. We will make this a regular monthly dining place. Only negative is if your going to dine inside take a huge jumper or jacket as too cold for us inside so we asked if we could sit outside, but as the car park is also outside it was okay, but a little close for comfort when cars reversing or driving out, but we will return for sure for the wonderful food...
Read moreThis Restaurant is tucked away down behind some empty shops yet to be leased, in a new complex, next to the existing Freshwater Village shops. Its a shame they didnt take lease on front shops- cause the passing traffic would then see and know about them! Nice and clean looking with a vibrant mustard coloured walls, a few nik naks and a couple of small plants. Maybe some larger plants and window dressings may assist in giving this an asian influence. But the food is very good, affordable prices and very extensive traditional Thai offerings. We got take away, and tried two of the curries and a 'pork' Fried Rice. Best fried rice I've had in a long with very chunky pieces of pork. The chicken Satay is also very nice and great value. An excellent peanut sauce. Several tables inside, and a couple outside also, some handy stools for those wanting take away. Overall excellent and be definetly going...
