Jade Cairns Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Queensland

Well, what can I say, paid over $120 for 2 x special fried rice, a sweet and sour pork and a Mongolian lamb. It was for my birthday and we thought we’d try these guys, but the food we got was worse than worst food court Chinese that has sat in the Bain maree all day! I love my Chinese food but this was inedible, pork that was just uncooked batter with the smallest of pieces of tough pork, rice like I’ve never seen before, tiny cut up shrimp, not one even whole, plenty of peas, and rice that was whiter than coral bleaching! And of course absolutely no flavour and clumped altogether! The Mongolian lamb was just capsicum, onion ,zucchini and chewy little pieces of lamb again with no flavour.

Well what can I say, Kevin ( owner ) has bent over backwards to make things right with me today, I completely understand now as to why the meal was like it was, I will be returning to try this restaurant again in a couple of weeks for a special event and hopefully will be writing a Stella review, I’m quietly confident it...

Disgusted $15 for large special fried rice is steamed white rice with some peas and pork mixed together in a small rectangle container. Crab and corn soup $7 half a ladle in small container. Mongolian Beef $22 beef on top, rest is full onion and hard zucchini in pho soup mix. Tasted piece of beef like leather because of onions. $45. Chef tried avoiding issues by talking over my complaint and carrying on of how it’s packed in bag for delivery. He offered refund which I collected as soon as they opened next day but not without being treated like I’m stupid, again. DONT GO HERE! Loved my experience at Jade. From the moment we walked in they were provided friendly fast service that made us feel valued as their customers. Had Braised Duck, prawn stir fry and special fried rice The prawns were cooked to perfection and the sauce of the Braised Duck was beautiful Veges were fresh and crisp. Clean, refreshing and chirpy environment with absolutely brilliant friendly, prompt customer service which for me, is as important as the food when dining out. Will definitely be back and will tell my friends about this great little hide away restaurant.
