Royal Hotel — Restaurant in Gatton

My wife and I are local Pensioners to the area and have eaten here on several occasions. Today we decided to have lunch. I asked my husband to place the order, while having a drink while we waited. When the food arrived I noticed that this was not my order. I ordered Beer Battered Fish. I asked my husband what he ordered and he explained that the service person asked him if he wanted this grilled. He didn't know this would drastically change my order and said Yes. I had a couple of bites of the fish and decided to voice my problem. The service person was quite nice and said that she will have to talk to the Manager to make a change, and possibly get the Beer Battered Fish order as expected. When she came back with my plate after about being gone for about 10 minutes, she said that some of the meal was eaten and nothing can be done about this. I asked if I could talk to the Manager. When the Manager arrived: Firstly, the manager said that I ate 3 quarter of the meal and she shouldn't have to replace it. Basically this was absurd. The fish pieces were quite small, and the 2 bites I had were half of one of the two pieces of the grilled fish. I also had untouched chips and salad still on the plate. I explained that my husband was confused when the service lady suggested a change to the order from Beer Battered to Grilled. The Manager was blunt and unconcerned about our issue there, having our dining plans destroyed. This could have been solved so easily by taking a quality-service view similar to the server. Instead she said I'll give you a refund. She took both of our plates from the table and returned with $20, which was the price for 1 order of Beer Battered Fish and chips. At this point I'm debating if I would ever go back to this resturant again. The treatment by this Manager...

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary by eating our late lunch here around 2:00 PM. We had bad customer experience from one of the staff I think was named Shendon. She was the one who took my order at the counter and she was already getting mad when she couldn't get the price of my order correctly since I picked my order online and was just showing it to her to put it in the pos machine. She eventually got it when her coworker helped her. A few minutes later when our order arrived, she was the staff nearest to our table and I had asked her to take a picture of us for my partner and I's anniversary photo along with the food and flowers I surprised her in the hotel bistro. Her response was we have to do it quickly cause apprently they were "busy" considering theres only around 3-4 tables occupied in the bistro. She even rolled her eyes when she started walking from the counter to our table. All other staff was nice buy I felt like Shendon didn't wanna...

I have been UNFAIRLY TREATED HERE AT THE ROYAL HOTEL GATTON. If it can happen to me over literally something that wasn't My fault, it can happen to anyone, yet I get banned without a discussion whereby I could tell my side (the truth) . I was banned and thrown out over someone who indecently and inappropriately assulted me on the property , yet I'm the only one banned....I'm taking this matter as high as I need to. And the fella who got me banned is going to be reported for his behaviour but I hadn't been to do that yet when i copped this ban. Not one person who works at the royal has asked me for my side of the story which I find highly degrading and the ombudsman will be contacted today regarding this matter.

So I've attempted to contact the manager regarding this unfairness but conviently he/she is never available to speak to me. Shame on the Royal hotel Gatton for UNFAIRLY BANNING...
