Uber drivers, be careful.
As an Uber driver, I arrived at a restaurant to pick up an order. While waiting, I received another order, which is a common occurrence. However, when I informed the staff about the second order, she falsely claimed that no such order existed. Knowing that wasn’t true, I asked what they meant, and she admitted it would take 20 minutes, then insisted that I take only the first order and cancel the second one.
I was frustrated by their dishonesty and the way they forced me to cancel. If they had just explained the situation properly, I would have understood. To avoid conflict, I canceled the second order and left. But situations like this are unacceptable.
Before that, I also saw two other drivers leave because they got tired of waiting. I understand that Friday nights are busy, but we are not volunteers delivering orders. Please manage your time properly.
P.S
Thank you for your response. However, I would like to clarify my side of the situation, as there seem to be some misunderstandings.
At no point did I attempt to take an order I hadn’t accepted. I was simply informing your staff that I had received a second order through the Uber app — something that happens regularly and is part of normal operations for drivers. Instead of acknowledging the order, I was initially told it didn’t exist. Later, your staff admitted it would take 20 minutes, and I was asked to cancel it.
I did not cause any trouble or raise my voice. I canceled the second order myself to avoid conflict, despite being put in a difficult position. If the situation had been explained honestly and respectfully from the beginning, I would have completely understood.
Calling this “potential theft” is not only inaccurate but also quite damaging. I take my work seriously and follow Uber’s guidelines. I’m simply sharing my experience so that this kind of miscommunication doesn’t happen again for the sake of both drivers and customers.
I appreciate the effort it takes to run a restaurant during busy times, but mutual...
Read moreFantastic Pizza/pasta Spot with Great Vibes!
Just had an awesome experience at Double Zero Ashmore! The atmosphere is casual and inviting, with good vibes all around. They even provided a high seat for our toddler, which was a thoughtful touch. Parking was easy and there were plenty of spots around. You can eat indoor or outdoors, we were outdoors and it was great.
The food was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and just what you want from a great pizza/pasta place. They also have a wide variety of beers, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a drink with your meal. We ordered a Hawaiian pizza, vegetarian pizza, and a gnocchi. We followed this with Chocolate mousse and Cannelloni for dessert.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the food was ready quickly, which was a huge plus. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place and will absolutely be back. A fantastic spot for great pizza, pasta, good drinks, and an all-around enjoyable experience! Didn’t take photos to post with this review, wish we did! Sorry! Thanks for...
