I ordered a caramel slice and a hot chocolate, and Matilda made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. My boyfriend and I visited this cafe this morning and were immediately taken by how charming, open, and inviting the space was. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff who greeted and served us were all genuinely friendly and warm, which made for a great first impression.

Our drink order was taken right away, and both my English Breakfast tea and my partner’s Chai Latte arrived quickly, piping hot and absolutely delicious. Our food order was also taken promptly, and we decided on a plate of pancakes to share, along with some fruit toast each.

While we don’t mind paying a bit more for quality, the prices were definitely on the higher end—$9 for the fruit toast and $25 for the pancakes. The fruit toast was tasty but came as two small, thin slices with a bit of butter, which didn’t quite feel like value for money.

The pancakes were beautifully presented and had a fun "taco" twist, filled with caramelised peaches, cream, pistachio crumble, and popping pearls. Unfortunately, the taste didn’t live up to the presentation. The pancakes themselves were bland, and the cream was quite overpowering. The popping pearls were the highlight, adding a bit of flavour and texture.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, the kind service, and the quality of the drinks, but were let down by the food. Hopefully the menu continues to evolve, as this cafe certainly has a lot...
