Two stars as the customer service is not actually bad in a behavioural sense as such. The coffee is... average, but I have high standards. The wait times were something we noticed first time in, roughly 25 mins for two long blacks. Second time few weeks later it took my wife 40 mins to get back home with a long black and a piccolo, another 30 min wait time. Third time I stopped for fuel and heavily queried if I should get the coffee here, I noticed they had opened a window specifically for take-away drink orders, problem solved I thought to myself and there are a good few workers on. No - I waited 25 mins for two long blacks then walked up and asked where my order was... another girl said she didn't know, I said "that young girl there took my order" the young girl who took my order looked at me and slowly looked back away. I was fuming, as would anyone, it was pretty brazen. I told them my order again and told them my name 3 times. They brought my order out after another 10 mins and still called me by the wrong name lol. All I could do was laugh at that point. But after 3 times (in-a-row) it does merit a google review.
EDIT - I have moved this review from 2 star to a 1 star due to the atrocious clap-back and borderline intimidation tactic response from the owner. If you travel down the timeline of the reviews they will praise you for a 5 star and berate you for anything less (just read them) repeatedly asking you to take it down, with a slew of sympathy card (we are a small business, COVID hit us hard, Floods hit us hard etc etc) then proceeds to advise on how popular and busy they are in the same sentence. Take out the emotion and remain professional, create a response template for google reviews. These reviews are not for you, they are for the general public. This is not an attack, this is a google review after giving you repeated business and receiving a bad experience. I usually leave good reviews, feel free to peruse my review timeline. Learn from them, correct your incompetency's and move forward. Your request is denied. You are correct, this is not productive, this is constructive. I do feel free to pop in, I am not sure what you could possibly want to speak about but if you would kindly advise on this i would be happy to...

Heard really good things about the acai and the ambiance. The vibe was really family, waiters were kind.
When we first got there it was really busy so we had to wait a couple of minutes to grab a table, this was fine. Once we were seated, the waiter left and we sat there for 20minutes wondering if we had to get up to order or not, as we found this a little strange as drinks are usually ordered on the spot.
After standing to order at the counter the waiter saw us and came over. We ordered a Green Supreme juice and latte for drinks, an acai bowl and the eggs Benedict.
After a good 20 minutes the juice finally arrived - a bottled one may I add. And another 15 later the coffee. At this point we were very hungry.
An hour after we had initially ordered, the food finally came. My friends eggs came out looking very nice and had generous servings of bread, toppings and such. She said it was nice but the eggs were a little under cooked.
My acai came out around 5 minutes later. It looked beautiful and the coconut icecream was a nice touch. The acai itself was delicious! However, the bowl did not have nearly enough Granola and the peanut butter they added was like a smooth Beqa one, it was far to sweet and sugary. I wouldn't like to get a 100% peanuts one and couldn't finish it.
Overall, the wait times just really...
Read moreThe food is great, but the wait time for ordering is genuinely one of the slowest I have ever experienced in any cafe I've dined in or had takeaway from. This isn't a review based off one experience... As a local to the area, I've been to The Parkway to dine in maybe 15-20 times and for takeaway coffees, smoothies and other small items perhaps 100 times or more. Never once have I been disappointed by the quality of the food - it's exceptional... However, the staff seem to move like snails. The past few times I've ordered smoothies to takeaway, they've taken over 20 minutes. This is with minimal people around awaiting their orders. I've experienced the frustration of watching staff chat and laugh amongst themselves without attempting to complete orders that people are waiting for on more than one occasion. There have been dozens of times when I'm heading off to work, I think to myself "oo, I might stop by the Parkway and grab breakfast on the go", and have quickly revised that decision when I look at the clock and realised I don't have a spare 20-30 minutes to wait for my order.
If you have the time, you will not be disappointed by the food quality. Everything there is delicious. However if you are in a rush, I'd advise going on another day as you're likely to be waiting longer than you'd expect...
