Where do I begin with this particular store? From shift managers that have clearly instructed subordinate staff to lie to customers to store managers that roster high school aged children to during school hour day shifts taking advantage of covid isolation restrictions instead of rostering adult staff. To make my point clear you gave someone close to me a shift during their normal school hours (which they worked) and they missed remote high school education classes as a result. Yes the children were in isolation not attending school but they were still supposed to be remote learning and rostering them on to shifts is nothing more than opportunism to save a few dollars at the expense of older staff.
This is one issue I have with this store and I have kept this private for months till my visit today to get some breakfast.
I ordered a Muffin and was handed a Burger wrapped in muffin paper . Normally I could wear that, its not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but when it becomes apparent that subordinate staff clearly know they are handing over orders that are not what has been requested and can't bring themselves to lie on behalf of the Hungry Jacks Company by saying to me "Here You Go" instead of verbally listing each item in the order when handing the order to me then I take issue. My last few visits have been a symphony of disappointment. Cold, soggy burgers and fries, missing menu items (that I still got charged for!), and zero apologies - it's like they're actively trying to ruin your experience, consistently.
Thinking they might improve, I sent them a courtesy email with my feedback addressing the issues that I faced. Weeks later, I'm still waiting for a response. Fantastic customer service, guys.
So, last week, starving after a night shift, I decided to give them one last shot. Big mistake. I walked in at 6 am, literally the only customer there, and stood at the counter for over 5 minutes. Multiple staff members made eye contact with me, blatantly ignored me, and didn't even offer a simple "hello." Not even a pretend smile! Feeling invisible and utterly frustrated, I walked out. Never again.
Do yourself a favour and skip the frustration. Head to the KFC just around the corner. You'll get better food, better service, and a greeting that doesn't...
