We went through the drive-thru at the KFC Nerang tonight to order a Street Wise Pack. After paying at the first window, we drove to the second window to collect our purchase. The girl in attendant said they only had hot and spicy chicken and asked if we like to have them instead of the original chicken we ordered. She said there was a 10-minute wait on the original chicken. I said we would wait. About 30 seconds later we were given our order. It was surprising to receive it so quickly given there was meant to be a wait on the original chicken. When I asked if there was original chicken in the box, the girl in attendance replied, yes. Not convinced, I drove in their carpark to check the order, and as suspected, all the chicken in the box was hot and spicy with no original chicken.
I then went into the store to complain about how I was blatantly lied to about the order only to met by a store manager who couldn't care less. She failed to recognise we waited over twenty minutes to order and collect our purchase in the drive-thru. She was unable to comprehend the staff under her supervision blatantly lie to customers. She just said she would repack the order only this time with original chicken included. It was a complete waste of my time. The apology given was disingenuous and given through clenched teeth and no offer whatsoever of remediation for the inconvenience caused (Drive-thru to in-store). Care factor was utterly zero.
If this is KFC's idea of customer service, then it has significant problems. And unfortunately its an all familiar story...
Read moreYou stand at the doors contemplating your next move. The doors swing open, beckoned by an unseen master. Your feet move of their own accord and you find yourself inside the establishment. "Maybe this isn't a good idea." You think, sweat beginning to form on your brow.
Too late, the doors have closed behind you.
Your fate is sealed.
You walk towards the counter, above you glow an array of chicken delights. Their crispy surfaces taunting you. You go to order, but your throat closes and you gasp for air. The chicken. You want the chicken but you don't know what kind. The sweat is forming faster now and you wipe your forehead. The lady at the counter beams at you expectantly. She knows that the moment you walked in, you were bound together. She, the knowing recipient and you, the reluctant benefactor. You fumble your words, but the lady at the counter knows you. Better than you know yourself. She points to you to heart's desire and you agree. A weight is lifted and, as you sit down to enjoy your new purchase, you spy me in the corner, quietly enjoying a Zinger Stacker™ and we lock eyes. I give you a curt nod and a smile, then I get up to leave. Even as I do so the smile does not leave my face. For I was like you once. Scared, unsure, chickenless. But now I, like you, am now resigned to my fate. The enjoy the sultry taste of poultry and all the better for...
Read moreAttended KFC Nerang this evening 28/12 @ approx 6:10pm. Young girl on the front counter was presentable, lovely and quick to take our order. Made sure we took note of our order number as the ticket machine was not working. There were 3 young boys working to pack orders off to the side. One of the boys was neat and tidy looking and looked to be learning. The other two boys were scruffy looking. The restaurant was quite busy at the time, a number of people waiting on orders. The language you could hear coming from the two young boys was not appropriate at all. Both dropping the F bomb a number of times. They packed a couple of orders and called out names. The orders were not collected by anyone to which they dropped the F bombs. Felt like they were there for just a good time instead of being there to actually work and get orders out. Understand that need to give kids a go at working. But there needs to be standards set. Management need to have a really good chat to staff, especially the younger ones on appropriate behaviour in front of customers. Lots of credit to the young girl. Taking orders & moving on to pack orders as well as trying to show the new kid what to do. The young girl packed our order, but there were 3 other people who had ordered before us that were...
