Beautiful day, looking forward to a beautiful lunch. Just to start, I rated Momento well but there were a few minor niggles but they did not detract overall. In the quest for honesty I mention them but we enjoyed our visit and food.

The service person, a youngish male, was excellent. It was warm, happy and attentive with a dash of humour. Thank you. We had a cappuccino and a turmeric latte. The coffee was reported by my partner as excellent which is high praise as so much that is called coffee is luke warm dishwater. My turmeric latte had a lot of cinnamon on it which tended to make it a little bitter. Next time I would grab maybe a smidgeon of sugar to offset this. But hot with great depth of flavour.

We both ordered the mushroom ragu dish; "Wild mushroom ragu on sourdough, pumpkin mash, poached egg, Egyptian dukkha, shaved parmesan & rocket pesto". What a visual symphony and a cacophony of flavour. This was something quite different and I applaud someone stepping out of the square to run with it as a menu item. A ragu is a stew and I don't think this was a stew. The mushrooms were a little sparse but it was still a great choice if a little bland. The generous dazzle of parmesan cheese certainly added. We were very happy.

There are plenty of spaces to sit either inside or outside in the breeze and generally under cover.

We struggled to find a table that was clean however but I think our wonderful server was playing the one armed paper hanger routine and was a little busy keeping up with orders.

The knives and forks were unusual but the handles were very thin which meant holding them and then cutting hard sourdough took a bit of effort. Us oldies and our hands eh?

There was also no mindless mood music playing which I felt was wonderful. With a resident magpie serenading us from a nearby tree and waves of chatter from other tables, the ambient noise was fine.

The menu and the online menu did not match well at all and two dishes that were mentioned on the internet that I was expecting to choose between, did not exist. Lucky for the...

I ordered the smoked avocado and salmon toast and a nutty banana boost refreshing smoothie, and I am far happy with my choice. The food is excellent, very mouthwatering and fulfill my satisfaction in every sense, the look, the taste, the size of the portion, the value for money, etc. The smoothie is dense and rich in flavor, and I can drink it for as long as I need to work on my iPad without having to order more. Strongly recommend this cosy, reachable, affordable place for breakfast, brunch or lunch, or a quick drivethrough and takeaway while...

The table was rickety, made it hard to eat & drink off. The milkshake wasn't made properly & was warm not to mention not mixed in enough!!!the eggs were dry & not enough sauce with it- bland hash browns & mushrooms there weren't enough either. The EFTPOS terminal has a fee attached which isn't right to charge customers to use their "fantastic plastic". Too expensive anyway given I've had alot better above mentioned at other cafes 100%. Won't be back & don't recommend* they put cheese with eggs Benedict too which is wrong in more...

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Robina, situated nicely in the suburban local shops, positioned off the road way is this humble cafe, Memento. A small kitchen producing nice muffins, wraps and cooked breakfast classics. Plenty of parking right outside and a relaxed atmosphere for a quiet table for one or the family. My casual zen was interrupted by a screaming baby, but I know in my heart the baby meant no harm, but is only growing in the world and will one day stop crying and let us all find peace & quiet again.
