We we're going to the paradise country restaurant. Drove into complete darkness with no signage anywhere of the restaurant. Stopped at a carpark we thought might be somewhere near. No signage. Drove down to what is the farmstay and could see the restaurant but no carpark. Drove back up to the top and parked. Went for a walk in the direction across country towards the direction of the restaurant in the darkness my wife tripped over rocks and boulders hurting her hands and knee when she fell. Finally got there 1.6km walk in the dark still no signage along any of the paths . Food average. Service people " tried " . Nothing to keep u entertained even for the kids. Finally time to leave. Went out the same way we came in. Door was locked. Staff did not advise us of this. We walked around the building trying to find a way out in the dark. Had to climb a fence, tracked through the wilderness. And got back to the path to head back 1.6km Total nightmare. Highlight - meeting the kangaroos in the Dark!!!! Thanks paradise country, maybe you should take the paradise out...
Read moreI pre paid AUD25 per person for the breakfast in farmstay package. But to be honest it was a bit disappointing. It was not for a special breakfast menu. Even if you prepaid, the only benefit is choosing anything you like form the original menu with free extra items. However, the most expensive set is only AUD 20😂 and most of the extra items are actually already in the set if you order the big brekkie. Unless you can eat a lotttt, otherwise you do not really benefit from the prepaid breakfast.
Only free tea, milk and coffee are served with the breakfast.
The quality of food was average. And the fruits was almost tasteless. They tasted like being left for long time and were quite dry and not sweet.
If I order directly from the menu but not prepaying, I may save...
Read moreWe turned up to paradise farmstay at check in time at 2pm and had to wait for the room to be serviced , checked in 2hrs later thinking the room had been serviced and went out for a bite to eat and to sit around the camp fire and didn't get home till 10pm, pulled the covers back on the bed only to find blood stains in the middle of the bed and other wet stuff. Not acceptable at all, luckily I have tent on the back of my four wheel drive where my partner and 18 month old daughter huddled in to keep warm as best we could on a 9 degree night in winter. To top it off the supervisor never spoke with me but instead letting a new trainee receptionist deal with me, shame on you. Rating is........... you...
