Zarraffa's Coffee Reedy Creek — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I usually don’t write reviews but my experience with this store left me quite annoyed. I came in at 3:45 and parked write in front of the store. Straight away I noticed a staff member sweeping the front, he had noticed my boyfriend and I pull in and said something to the other staff member while clearly motioning towards and talking about us. That left us a bit confused and we thought maybe they were closing and didn’t want more customers, we read the sign at the front of the store that clearly says 5pm closing time so we went in. I placed my order, a latte, I waited for it and the staff member called out an iced latte and placed it towards me, she had got it wrong but I thought l’ll let it slide maybe I ordered wrong, I decided I’ll take it and my boyfriend can order me my actual latte, he went to order again a latte and she tried to put through an iced latte again and he had to correct her but the thing that really annoyed us was as my boyfriend was leaving the male staff member had started mopping the store, right where you exit, mind you they closed in an hour later from when we were there and as my boyfriend went to exit the only exit they had the staff member remarked “oh yeah just walk through it” as he was shutting the door. Not sure why he would start mopping at the entry and exit way an hour before they closed. Didn’t leave a good impression...

I’ve been holding off making this review but I’m so annoyed now. I go to this Zaraffas 3-4 times a week because it’s my local but the staff always ignore my order requests and stuff up my easy order. My coffee and banana bread in the morning is my guilty pleasure for hard working days. I order half strength coffees with extra cream and a toasted brushed on butter banana bread. Each time the butter is missed and I have to pull over to do the butter myself once I’ve realised. I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t preferred. The extra cream is always missed and the coffee is too strong even though I’ve request half strength. The last time I came in they gave me the completely wrong food and I had to wait even longer for them to put my order in. The service takes so long almost every visit, and then the wait isn’t worth it. Whats the point in paying for these extras and requesting them if staff aren’t even going to read them. It’s either a lack of training, enthusiasm or leadership. Unfortunately I’ll be making the trip to tugun or worongary...

I’ve held off on reviewing this particular store for months as it is my local store and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, however I will not be returning after today as I am consistently being let down.

The staff have no enthusiasm to carry out their job, the coffees are never warm enough nor can you taste any of the flavoured syrups that are ordered in our coffees and if you choose to order one of the fusion drinks, you will be handed a drink that has been made with way too much milk, to the point where you can barely taste the coffee at all and a cup that is overflowing with the drink spilling down the sides and all over you every single time. How hard is it not to over fill the cup guys? You do it every time. As I said, this is my local store, yet I have to travel to Robina or Worongary to get decent coffee. Perhaps a change of...
