Their food is actually pretty good, so it’s a shame their customer service is so terrible and the owner does not know basic things about running a business.
One time they took 2 hours to deliver my food even though I ordered as soon as they opened, on a weekday, and live 10 minutes away.
Another time the delivery was an hour late and when I called to follow up they told me the driver was on the way. Which turned out to be a lie because when I called another 30 minutes later I found out the truth - they’d stuffed up and hadn’t even started cooking it. I told them to cancel it and give me a refund. I had a very long and frustrating conversation with the owner who didn’t know how to give me a refund because the order went through an app and he didn’t know how to get in touch with them. Ridiculous! You should know how to contact your business partner! He eventually said I could come collect cash and of course when my husband went to get the money the next day the staff didn’t know what he was talking about and he had to explain the whole situation again (to a woman who was quite rude about it).
We definitely won’t be going there again. But as the owner said in response to another negative review, Charming Thai is much better anyway. So I guess I’ll give them a go next time, thanks for the...
Read moreI ordered a large order and one of the meals was incorrect (no boggy) I called to inform the restaurant. To my surprise when I called, the lady on the line informed me I never said to swap the meat. I informed her that I said to make the pad Thai in chicken and then just before paying asked to swap to beef, the person confirmed on the phone at the time, when the order arrived it was never swapped, when I called they said that I Was wrong and never said this and I was lying. All I was doing is calling to inform them the dish was wrong so the cook knows but to be called a liar about 4 times is a joke. When I asked for the manager 5 times before getting onto the person she never apologised just said they cook what was on the ticket. Read moreI placed my order at 5:24PM directly on your website, the order was accepted at 5:30PM and it was delivered at 8:40PM. More than 3 hours later. When we called to find out where our order was at 7:58PM, we were told it would be here soon. The delivery driver was at Blue Haven and we are in Hamlyn Terrace. This is the second time in two weeks that this has happened. Except last week no one answered the phones and my email went unanswered. This isn't good enough. Do you only have one delivery driver now? The delivery driver was extremely apologetic so I assume he's copped a lot of abuse tonight. Customer service has gone downhill which is a shame because the food is usually great. Except now it's cold when delivered. Once could have been a bad night being short staffed but twice?
